Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a complicatedly disturbed flowing of heat exchanging fluid flowing between fins and to prevent from stratification of a temperature boundary layer and improve te productivity and a heat exchanging property, by a method wherein a fin is formed in a chevron by cutting.
CONSTITUTION: A base sheet 11, whereon chops are formed, is placed and pressed between an upper mold having reverse-chevron-shaped press shapes, which have different heights from each other, and a lower mold having chevron-shaped press shapes which have different heights from each other. Said press operation causes the formation of obtuse-angle chevron-shaped chops 16aW16n having ridgelines 18aW 18n. Adjoining chevron-shaped chops are formed such that, for example, edge portions 17a and 17b of the chevron-shaped chops 16a and 16b are positioned in a staged level, and the ridgelines 18a and 18b thereof differ in the height from each other. The heights of the ridgelines 18aW18n are arranged in a wave on the whole.
