Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to print data by discriminating identical function keys of an electronic register, even when there are many identical-function keys, without increasing the number of printing types, by combining normal numeral-printing types and symbol-printing types.
CONSTITUTION: Eight programmable keys 7 are provided and keys "credit 1" and "credit 2" are used to assign sale on credit; and when "credit 2" key 5 is operated, its data are stored in input buffer IB of I/O port 8 and then read by CPU11, which knows the operation of the "credit 2" key to assign the address of corresponding totalizing memory 12. From the address, program code PG is transferred to CPU11, which performs processing and writes the result in memory 12 and from a fixed memory area of memory 12, a key number is read and transferred to register A together with other receipt number, proceeds, credit total, etc., so that it will be printed on the final line and displayed on display part 9. Thus, since function symbol "credit total" and the key number are printed out, sale on credit for a customer can be discriminated.
