Abstract

PURPOSE: To prolong the lift of a battery by reducing fruitless electric power consumption by decreasing the output voltage of a battery power source by the 1st step-down method and then by supplying with a display unit with a voltage further decreased by the 2nd step-down method.
CONSTITUTION: The step-down circuit has the 1st step-down circuit 210 and the 2nd step-down circuit 220. The 1st step-down circuit 210 operates with capacitors C1 and C2 connected in series to battery voltage Vss and from the connection point between capacitors C1 and C2, output V1 is led out. Output V1 is therefore at a voltage a half the battery voltage. In the 2nd step-down circuit 220, a voltage a half output V1 of the 1st step-down circuit 210 is led out, so that a voltage a quarter battery voltage Vss will be 1ed out of output V2.
