Abstract
PURPOSE:To titled composition for a printing ink, having a high drying rate without forming wrinkles, and prepared by using melamine-formaldehyde resin polymerized under conditions of specific temperature or above as a microcapsule membrane material. CONSTITUTION:A printing ink composition comprising (A) a pigment, e.g. titanium oxide, (B) an adhesive, e.g. a cellulose derivative, (C) a microcapsule which is prepared by the in-situ polymerization method with melamine-formaldehyde resin polymerized at 65 deg.C or above as a membrane material, and (D) an alcohol dispersion medium, preferably a mixture of water with 40wt% or more an alcohol, e.g. ethanol. The amounts of (A) and (B) are preferably 10-100pts.wt. and 0- 50pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. (C) respectively. USE:An ink composition suitable for gravure and flexographic printing.
