Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate exchanging of a photosensitive drum and prevent damaging on a photosensitive surface by the constitution in which an optical system, a developing device and a cleaning device are unitized and disposed around the photosensitive drum freey and removably from the body of a copying machine. CONSTITUTION:A developing device 4, an optical system 42 and a cleaning device 34 which are unitized are disposed around a photosensitive drum 1, respectively freely and removably from above. To exchange the drum 1, first an original imposing plate 49 is moved in the direction shown by arrow B along a slide rail 50, and the optical system unit 42 is removed upward. The cleaning device 34 is also removed upward. Next, the plate 49 is moved in the direction shown by arrow A and the developing device 4 is removed upward, after which the drum 1 is removed upward. To mount a new drum, it can be done easily by the steps reverse from the above.
