Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the weight of an apparatus and save electric power by providing a thin-walled metallic cylindrical body provided with a photosensitive layer on the outside cylindrical surface and integrally providing an insulation layer and a heating element on the inside circumferential surface of said cylindrical body thereby constituting a photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer of zinc-oxide-resin dispersion type is uniformly provided on the outside circumferential surface of a thin-walled cylindrical body 40 made of metal. An insulator 43 is integrally provided on the inside circumferential surface of the body 40 via an insulation film 42, whereby an insulation layer 43a is constituted. A heater wire 44 which is a heating element is embedded in this insulator 43 and is bent spirally. Power feed rings 45, 45 are secured to both end parts of the body 40, and are electrically connected to the heater wire 44. These are so formed that when the photoreceptor 4 constituted in this way is in a predetermined position the power feed brushes 50, 50 which are power feed means contact the rings 45, 45.
