Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve workability, etc., of the rubber forming mold by providing electromagnetic coils to both of the opposing basal mold portions, at least one of the electromagnetic coils being so arranged as to allow change of the direction of current application or the phase of the alternating current so that both die members will be brought to or separated from each other by the electromagnetic force.
CONSTITUTION: Both die members 13, 14 of a rubber forming mold are detachably fixed to each other by incorporating the electromagnetic coils 3, 4 and heating elements 9, 10 in the basal mold portions 1, 2. In case, for example, a direct current is applied to both electromagnetic coils 3, 4 if said both electromagnetic coils 3, 4 are arranged same in the winding direction and the current direction, they agree with each other in the direction of the line of magnetic force and the basal mold portions 1, 2 are attracted to each other, so that if a non-vulcanized rubber material is placed therebetween, said material is compressed and molded. If the current flowing to the electromagnetic coils is changed in direction in the case of direct current and in phase in the case of alternating current upon completion of the molding operation, the lines of magnetic force produced between both coils 3, 4 repel each other, with the result that the upper basal mold portion 2 rises up from the lower basal portion 1, allowing easy removal of the dies.
