Abstract
PURPOSE: To penetrate a reagent efficiently into a sample without any spare by arranging a tubular reagent bath around the circumference of a cylinder, which is rotatable about a vertical axis, and by using a movable magnetic container for sample accommodation.
CONSTITUTION: One continuous U-shaped tube A, which is produced by mutually connecting a plurality of U-shaped tubes 1 acting as tubular reagent bathes above a reagent level 1a through inversely U-shaped connecting tubes 2, is arranged in an annular shape around the outer circumference of a cylinder 3, which is rotatable about a vertical axis 8, in a manner to have its leading and trailing ends adjacent to each other. There is accommodated in the continuous U-shaped tube A a sample accommodating magnetic container 4 which is constructed as a cage having meshes so that it can be moved by the magnetic member 6 which is movable along a continuous V-shaped guide groove 5 formed on the outer circumferencial wall 3a of the cylinder 3. Thus, if the cylinder 3 is turned by a rotational drive mechanism 7, the magnetic member 6 is moved so that the magnetic container 4 is moved up and down and dipped into the reagents in the plural U-shaped tubes 1 in a consecutive manner. Thus, the penetration treatments can be performed efficiently without any spare of the reagent.
