Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the leakage impedance of the thired winding by winding up the third, secondary and primary winding in the concentric form from the innerside in turn at the circumference of the iron core, connecting the auxiliary winding to the third winding in series to reduce the induced voltage and then inserting the auxiliary winding between the windings or at the outerside of the windings.
CONSTITUTION: A third winding 3, auxiliary winding 5, secondary winding 2 and primary winding 1 are wound up in concentric form from the innerside in turn at the circumference of an iron core 4. Then, one terminal b of the winding 3 is connected to one terminal c of the winding 5 in the direction to reduce the induced voltage. The other terminal a of the winding 3 and the other terminal d of the winding 5 are used as the third terminal and the voltage applied therebetween is arranged to be equal to the difference of the induced voltage between the windings 3 and 5. In the above embodiment, the wiring 5 is inserted between windings 3 and 2, but it is also possible to place it between the windings 2 and 1 or at the outerside of the winding 1. This leads to the increase of the leakage impedance through the third wiring and thus makes the current limiting reactor unnecessary.
