Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve treating capacity and yield by supplying straightened hot wind to the powder and granules to be globed.
CONSTITUTION: The atmospheric air sucked by a blower 1 passes through a heater 2 to become hot wind which then enters a wind box 3. The hot wind is straightened of its flow by a packed layer type distributor 4 formed of a porous plate or iron balls, silica, etc. This wind is then blown into a cylindrical globing furnace 5. On the other hand, the powder and granules entered into the globing furnace 5 from a powder and granule feeder 6 falls in the heating zone 5a while being heated by the straightened hot wind current. The powder and granules having been heated and globed through melting of angle portions pass through the cooling zone 5b while being cooled by the air supplied from the cooling air intake port 11 opened in the lower circumferential wall face of the globing furnace 5. The powder and granules are then sucked from the lower part of the globing furnace 5 by a suction blower 9 and are captured by a cyclone 7, thence they are stored in a box 8.
