Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the quantity of adsorbed water through enlarged total surface area of adsorbent layer by arranging plural plate type adsorbent layers in zigzag in a water-making device to produce water by adsorbing water from gas.
CONSTITUTION: In a container tower 1, plural plate-type adsorbent layers 1b are arranged in zigzag. Also, each of the adsorbent layers 1b is arranged to have its surface in nearly horizontal direction. This decreases a tendency for vibration, if occurs, to cause adsorbent-layer-free space between cases containing the adsorbent layer 1b. This allows a large total area of adsorbent layers without increasing the thickness of layer, and results in increased water adsorption.
