PURPOSE: A nontoxic aromatic mothproofing agent capable of controlling the volatility of l-carvone to prolong the mothproofing effect for a long time, comprising liquid l-carvone having improved effect in a sublimable camphor carrier.
CONSTITUTION: An aromatic mothproofing agent comprising l-carvone (C) in a sublimable carrier consisting of camphor. Examples of C include purified or crude one, natural essential oil, e.g. spearmint oil, consisting of C, linalool, or anethole. Camphor or its combination with cycloodecane or adamantane may be used as the carrier. The agent is nontoxic, and has a powerful and prolonged repellent effect on wool moths and improved feeling of use due to adequate fragrance.
