Abstract
PURPOSE: To measure the static unbalance amount and weight of a tyre with high accuracy by using a load cell which detects the moment about orthogonal two axes and a load cell of tension or compression type.
CONSTITUTION: Before the tyre to be measured is inserted to an adapter 21, the size of the tyre to be measured is detected by a tyre size detecting device and an electric motor 37 is run by its detection signal, by which the adapter 21 is moved inward or outward. When the adapter 21 moves to the size-by-size setting position based on the detection signal, the adapter 21 is stopped by a limit switch 38. Next, the tyre 54 to be measured is placed in the up position, after which the adapter 21 expands to support the tyre. When the table 55 descends, the moment about the X- axis and the moment about the Y-axis are detected by the load cell 50 and the dynamic unbalance amount of the tyre to be measured and its direction are detected. With respect to the weight, the force in the Z-axis direction is detected by the 2nd load cell 59.
