Abstract

PURPOSE: To correct the time axis of video signal delayed in following to the time axis variation of reproduced video signal, by controlling the amount of delay with the phase comparison output between the input video signal and delayed video signal.
CONSTITUTION: The video signal fed to the input terminal 2 and video signal delayed from the variable delay unit 3 are respectively supplied to the synchronizing separation circuits 6 and 7, and the synchronizing signals separated are fed to the phase comparison circuit 8. The two synchronizing signals are phase-compared in the phase comparison circuit 8, the compared output is fed to the clock signal generation circuit 5 to control the clock frequency and to change the delay amount of the variable delay unit 3.
