Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:Title compound of formula I.
USE: Herbicide and an intermediate of γ-amino-γ-carboxypropyl-methylphosphinic acid used as an antibacterial agent.
PREPARATION: The reaction between β-chloroethyl methyl-β-chloroethylposphinate of formula II and ethyl acetaminocyanoacetate of formula III is conducted in the presence of an alkali in ethanol, preferably at -5W+60°C. Then, the ethanol is distilled off and the product is purified.
