Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove contaminants, particularly slow-drying paint, surely and rapidly by using a filter contructed from granules moving in a belt-like state.
CONSTITUTION: The exhaust fan 5, the first and second crushers 10 and 11, the endless belt conveyer 7, the sorter 14, the hot air source 9, and granule-suction pump 17 are operated simultaneously. When operating the exhaust fan 5, the exhaust duct 6 and the rear air chamber 2 become negative pressure and paint- containing contaminated air is sucked in the frontal air chamber 1 through the inflow duct 4. Then, the contaminated air is passed through the belt-like granule filter 3 formed on the endless belt conveyer 7, sucked in the rear air chamber 2, and then discharged through the exhaust duct 6 to the outside by the exhaust fan 5. When passing contaminated air through the granule filter 3, paint(powder) is adhered to the surface of each particle which is the constituent of the filter 3, introduced into the drying chamber 8 as the belt conveyer 7 moves where it is solidified by hot air from the hot air source 9, and then treated by crushing.
