Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a high-resolution reading device featuring a comapct structure and a high sensitivity by using the cylindrical lens array substance containing the bus bar vertical to the main scanning direction and between the illuminating means and the manuscript surface as the ommateal lens in the device containing the means to carry out the linear illumination in parallel to the main scanning direction.
CONSTITUTION: Photo sensor 9 of the 1-dimensional array form is provided in the fixed main scanning direction. And cylindrical lens 10 is installed to condense the illumination beams sent from light source 8 and give the linear illuminatiin to manuscript 7 in parallel to the scanning direction.
