Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a thin solar battery with preventing the thickness of the whole of the solar battery from being large when solar battery elements are directly conected mutually, by forming the electrode by cutting one edge part of the solar battery element from the surface and the other edge part from the reverse face.
CONSTITUTION: Cut parts 16 are formed in Si wafer 11; and after diffusion layer 13 is formed, electrodes 14 are formed on cut parts 16. Cut parts 16 of solar battery elements 17 produced in this manner are made opposite to each other, and solar battery elements 17 are connected electrically through electrodes 14, thus obtaining solar battery unit 18 where a light receiving face is provided in one face.
