Description of the Related Art Conventional writing instruments are roughly classified into liquid writing instruments such as marking pens and ballpoint pens, and solid writing instruments such as pencils and crayons, which have their respective advantages and disadvantages. While a liquid writing instrument is excellent in drawing properties, it may cause writing defects due to changes over time such as evaporation of a solvent, aggregation and precipitation of a pigment, and requires a more complicated mechanism than a solid writing instrument. Further, the solid writing instrument does not cause writing defects due to changes over time like the above-mentioned liquid writing instrument,
It has disadvantages such as rough drawn lines and poor adhesion to writing objects. Further, in order to improve the respective disadvantages of both the liquid and solid writing instruments, various writing instruments have been proposed in which gelling agents are used and the characteristics such as drawability are utilized. For example, JP-A-54-81925, JP-B-54-23618, JP-B-55-18474 and JP-B-64-4.

到った。DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION Problems to be Solved by the Invention In various writing instruments using the gelling component proposed above, for example, in an ink composition using benzylidene sorbitols, the vapor pressure of the solvent added is low and the drying speed is low, If the handwriting is touched immediately after writing, the fingers, writing surface and other papers may be contaminated, and there is an inconvenience that it must be left as it is for a long time to dry. Further, the one using an alkali metal salt of an aliphatic carboxylic acid as a gelling agent has improved fixability and overcoating, but the roughness of the drawn line is almost the same as that of a conventional solid writing instrument, and smooth drawing property is obtained. Is not improved.
As described above, even in the case of the liquid writing instrument and the solid writing instrument using the gelling agent, the disadvantages of the solid writing instrument and the liquid writing instrument described above cannot be completely solved under the present circumstances. The present invention
It solves the problems of both conventional solid and liquid writing instruments, has the advantages of both, and has excellent adhesion, drawability, and quick-drying characteristics. It is a writing method similar to that of solid writing instruments, and the line drawn is very close to that of liquid writing instruments. It is possible to write with a nice writing feeling, especially,
An object is to provide a solid writing instrument suitable for marking.
As a result of earnest studies for the above-mentioned purpose, the inventors of the present invention have made the ink composition into a solid state together with the gelling component and, at the same time, use a predetermined two kinds of solvents to exert the solid-liquid phase conversion function of the gelling component. The present invention has been accomplished by utilizing the above-mentioned features.

As a solid writing instrument, a combination of at least two kinds of organic solvents, that is, a main solvent composed of an aliphatic lower alcohol and an auxiliary solvent composed of an aprotic polar solvent is used. In the above-mentioned solid writing instrument of the present invention, it is preferable that the main solvent is 30 to 90% by weight and the auxiliary solvent is 1 to 30% by weight in the whole amount. Furthermore, in the present invention, it is preferable that the benzylidene sorbitols are dibenzylidene sorbitol, and the amount thereof is 1 to 10% by weight in the total amount.

By using them, both of them act synergistically on the gelling component, so that the gelling component can effectively exhibit both its solution property and solidifying property, and the smooth drawing line of the liquid writing instrument can be obtained. It can also be imparted with quick-drying property like a solid writing instrument.

The benzylidene sorbitols used as the gelling component in the present invention are dibenzylidene sorbitol and its derivatives, which have been conventionally used as the gelling component, and known ones can be used. The gelling component of the present invention is 1 to 10% by weight based on the total amount of components,
It is preferably contained in an amount of 2 to 6% by weight. If the amount is less than 1% by weight, the strength of the solid substance obtained as a gel is low and it is difficult to use it as a solid writing instrument, and even if it exceeds 10% by weight, the effect cannot be improved.

That is, the mixed solvent contains at least one of an aliphatic lower alcohol as a main solvent and an aprotic polar solvent as an auxiliary solvent. The aliphatic lower alcohol, which is the main solvent of the mixed solvent of the present invention, has a relatively low boiling point and a high vapor pressure, and can impart quick-drying properties to a solid material. On the other hand, the aprotic polar solvent as the auxiliary solvent has high solubility of the benzylidene sorbitols as the above gel component, and a high-strength gel can be easily obtained.
It is difficult to form a high-strength gel due to its solubility, boiling point, etc. only with the main solvent, and the drying property is low and the inconvenience after writing cannot be solved only with the auxiliary solvent. As the organic solvent in the present invention, two kinds of different solvents are used as described above, and by the synergistic effect of both, a solid substance having an appropriate strength can be obtained, and at the same time, the obtained solid substance can be quickly dried by a solid writing instrument. And it can give the smooth writing feeling and delicate drawing of liquid writing instruments. The aliphatic lower alcohol constituting the main solvent of the present invention is preferably a C 1 -C 3 aliphatic alcohol, and is methanol, ethanol, propanol or isopropanol, and one or more of these can be used. Of these, due to problems such as toxicity and vapor pressure,
It is particularly preferable to use ethanol. The amount of this main solvent in the solid material is 30 to 90% by weight based on the total amount of all components.
And preferably 50 to 70% by weight. 30% by weight
If it is less than 90% by weight, the feeling of writing is heavy and the drawn line becomes rough, and if it exceeds 90% by weight, the solid writing instrument becomes poor in strength and density. Further, the aprotic polar solvent constituting the auxiliary solvent of the present invention is N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, dimethyl sulfoxide, ethylene carbonate, propylene carbonate, 1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazolidinone, etc. One or two or more of the above can be arbitrarily selected. The compounding amount of this auxiliary solvent in the solid matter is
It is 1 to 30% by weight, preferably 3 to 20% by weight, based on the total amount of all components. If it is less than 1% by weight, its performance is not exhibited and 3
This is because if it exceeds 0% by weight, the gel strength decreases.

Known pigments and dyes can be used as the coloring component. The blending amount varies depending on the type of pigment or dye, but is preferably 50% by weight or less with respect to the total amount of the solid components. This is to make the gel formation smoothly. Usually, 5 to 40% by weight is added. Further, as the resin component, vinyl resins, cellulose resins, phenol resins, ketone resins and other resins generally added to writing instruments,
It is preferable to add 1 or 2 or more of those soluble in the main solvent. The content of the resin component is preferably 40% by weight or less, and usually 10 to 40% by weight, based on the total amount of the components of the solid material. This is to obtain good strength and adhesion.
In addition to the above components, the solid writing instrument of the present invention may contain a gelling aid, a film-forming agent, a viscosity adjusting agent, an evaporation inhibitor, an extender and the like added to ordinary writing instruments such as lubricants. . In the present invention, the above-mentioned respective components are mixed, heated and dissolved, and then cooled in a predetermined container to be gelled to obtain a solid substance. The solid material can be changed in hardness by adjusting the gelation rate, and the solid material can be used as a solid writing instrument without changing the strength of the obtained solid material or in a container with a predetermined cap. can do.
