However, if a nonwoven fabric, glass cloth, waste paper, etc. with poor elongation is used as the reinforcing layer, defects such as cracks will occur during molding, especially in the deep drawing part. Furthermore, an adhesive must be used to bond the reinforcing layer to the base material. On the other hand, felt as a reinforcing layer has elongation and good moldability, but has poor reinforcing effect and requires the use of an adhesive for adhesion to the base material.

It is impregnated with a solution of a solvent such as alcohol, and if desired, a melamine curing catalyst such as ammonium chloride or amine hydrochloride may be added. The amount of melamine resin impregnated into the cotton layer is approximately 30~ in terms of solid content.
It is generally about 70% by weight.

Alternatively, it may be formed after molding. When polymerizing the cotton layer as a base material, the melamine resin monomer or initial condensate impregnated in the cotton layer oozes out onto the surface of the cotton layer during polymerization and acts as an adhesive with the base material. No special adhesive is required. Therefore, by laying polyester cotton impregnated with melamine resin on one or both sides of the base material, compressing the polyester cotton by hot pressing, and curing the impregnated melamine resin monomer or initial condensate. The polyester cotton layer can be polymerized on one or both sides of the substrate without using adhesives, and the hot pressing temperature in this case is the curing temperature of the melamine resin, which is generally about 130-150°C. .

Since the present invention has the above-mentioned structure, the melamine resin-impregnated cotton layer is made of polyester fibers, so it has heat resistance, and since the fibers are in a cotton state in which the fibers are not tightly intertwined with each other, no cracks can be formed in any deep drawing process. Since the melamine resin impregnated acts as an adhesive, no adhesive is required for adhesion to the base material, and the cured product of melamine resin is filled between the polyester fibers. The melamine resin-impregnated polyester cotton layer has a great reinforcing effect on the base material, and for base materials that wrinkle and crack during molding, such as cardboard, the melamine resin-impregnated polyester cotton layer has a strong reinforcing effect on the base material. It absorbs the unevenness of the surface and provides an interior material with a smooth surface.

FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment of the present invention, in which 1 is a base material made of phenolic resin-impregnated cardboard, and 2 is a melamine resin-impregnated polyester cotton layer polymerized on the surface of the base material 1. The cotton layer 2 is colored gray, has some cushioning properties, and serves as a covering material. The interior material 10 consisting of the base material 1 and the cotton layer 2 is formed into a ceiling shape.

A covering material 13 consisting of the following is attached to form a ceiling-shaped interior material 20. In this case, the adhesion between the base material 11 and the cotton layer 12 and the adhesion between the cotton layer 12 and the facing material 13 are performed by the melamine resin impregnated into the cotton layer 12. Also, since the cotton layer 12 has some cushioning properties, it is not necessary to back the polyvinyl chloride leather with a cushioning layer such as polyurethane foam or polyethylene foam.
