り、また、もう一つの発明は、シールド本体前部にカッ
ターヘッドを回転自在に装備し、該カッターヘッド後方
に切削土砂を取り込むカッターチャンバーを形成したシ
ールド掘進機において、前記カンタ−チャンバーを形成
する隔壁部に、マニピュレータを装備した作業函をカッ
ターチャンバー内へ進出自在に配備し、前記マニピュレ
ータ先端にカッタービット交換治具を装着し、マニピュ
レータおよびカッターピット交換治具を作業函内から遠
隔操作可能に構成したことを特徴とするシールド掘進機

作して交換治具18はカッターディスク5に取付けられ

力負担や危険性、また、作業時間の制約等も一切なく、
カンタ−ピントの交換作業を随時能率よ〈実施してトン
