In addition, a mirror in which the tilt angle of the mirror visor is further increased to approximately 90 degrees from the normal position and can be maintained in that position is known as a so-called foldable mirror. All of the mirrors are equipped with a mechanism for adjusting the attitude of the mirror, which is tiltably supported within the mirror visor, and some mirrors allow the attitude of the mirror to be adjusted remotely from inside the vehicle. There are two types of remote adjustment devices: electrical ones and manual ones, but in the case of the above-mentioned foldable mirror, the tilt angle of the mirror visor is large, so the manually operated adjustment axis is attached to the mirror visor. It is difficult to install the device in a manner that does not impede movement, and an electrical remote control device has generally been used.

したことを特徴とするものである。(Means for Solving the Problems) That is, the manual adjustment device for a foldable mirror according to the present invention rotatably attaches a mirror visor, which supports a mirror holder in a tiltable manner, to a mirror stay provided on the outer surface of a vehicle. In the attached foldable mirror, an operating lever is provided that passes through the mirror stay from the inside of the vehicle to the mirror visor side and is supported by the mirror stay so as to be able to freely rotate around the axis and tilt the axis, and the operating lever and the mirror A connecting mechanism for removably connecting the holder is provided between the support part of the operating lever relative to the mirror stay and the rotating shaft of the mirror visor relative to the mirror stay, and the connecting mechanisms are opposed to each other so that at least one side is connected to the other side. It consists of a pair of coupling members installed on the operating lever and the mirror visor, respectively, so that the two are spring-biased and in contact with each other with a constant pressure. The coupling member is provided with two protrusions on the other hand, and an engagement recess that faces each of the protrusions and removably engages the protrusions on the other side of the coupling member, and the protrusion is engaged with the engagement recess. The mirror holder is freely displaced relative to the mirror visor by rotation or tilting of the operating lever, while the mirror visor is freely displaced relative to the mirror stay when the projection is disengaged from the engagement recess against spring pressure. It is characterized by the following.

By tilting around the fulcrum, the posture of the mirror can be adjusted by rotating around the Y-axis, for example, and when the mirror visor is rotated by an external force, the coupling mechanism will cause the protrusion to come out of the engagement recess. When the mirror visor comes off and the two are disengaged, the mirror visor can be rotated, for example, around the Z-axis, without any hindrance, and when the mirror visor is returned to its normal position, the engagement of the coupling mechanism is restored again. .

As a result, the operating lever can be rotated around its axis (in the direction of arrow N in the figure) and tilted about its axis using the spherical portion 22 as a fulcrum (in the direction of arrow M in the figure). installed. At the tip of the operating lever 21, a coupling member 25 on the lever side rotates integrally with the operating lever 21 so as to be unrotatable about its axis with respect to the operating lever 21, and is connected to the operating lever 21 in the direction of the axis. is slidably attached, biased toward the distal end by a compression spring 26, and prevented from coming off by a set screw 27. Further, a coupling member 28 on the mirror side is integrally formed in the mirror holder 14 in correspondence with the coupling member 25, and this pair of coupling members 2
5 and 28 constitute a coupling mechanism 29 between the operating lever 21 and the mirror holder 14. This connection mechanism 29 is connected to the spherical portion 22 of the operating lever 21,
It is provided so as to be located between the axis of the rotating shaft 7, that is, in this embodiment, on the tangent between the cylindrical concave surface 12 and the convex surface 13. The coupling member 25 is vertically elongated, has a cylindrical convex surface 30 on the side facing the coupling member 28, and is eccentric in the vertical direction across a line connecting the support portion of the mirror holder 14, that is, the ball bearing portion 15, and the axis of the operating lever 21. Two protrusions 25a are provided at these positions to protrude in the direction of the coupling member 28. Two engaging recesses 28a are formed in the coupling member 28 in correspondence with the protrusions 25a.
As shown in Figure 2, the cross-sectional shape in the horizontal direction is a gentle V-shape, and the front and rear (second

1 is formed, and the protrusion 25a engages with the engagement recess 28a with a constant pressure due to the biasing force of the compression spring 26. An operating knob 32 is fixed to the end of the operating lever 21 on the vehicle interior side with a countersunk screw 33. In addition, 4a is the outer panel of the vehicle, 4b is the inner panel, and 4c

When rotated, the mirror holder 14 can freely tilt both upper and lower sides of the mirror holder 14 upward or downward as seen in FIG. 1 using the ball bearing 15 as a fulcrum. Furthermore, when the operation knob 32 is displaced in the vertical direction as seen in FIG. 2 so that its axis is inclined, the entire coupling member 25 freely moves upward or downward in FIG. are moved in the same direction, and the mirror holder 14 is moved in the same direction as the ball bearing part 1.

を再び自在に行うことができるようになる。 Further, when the mirror visor 2 is rotated upward or downward as seen in FIG. 2 by an external force about the rotation axis 7, the coupling member 28 also rotates.
When the rotation angle is small, the operation lever 21 simultaneously moves the mirror visor 2 using the ball bearing 15 as a fulcrum.
tilt in the opposite direction. When the rotation angle of the mirror visor 2 increases and exceeds the range that the operating lever 21 can follow, the protrusion 2 of the coupling member 25
5a is pushed up by the inclined side surface of the engagement recess 28a of the coupling member 28, and as a result, the coupling member 28 is pushed back in the direction away from the coupling member 28 against the biasing force of the compression spring 26, and the projection 25 is engaged. It comes off from the mating recess 28a, the coupling mechanism 29 is disengaged, and only the mirror visor 2 is in a state where it can freely rotate at a larger angle around the rotation axis 7. It can be tilted to the upper position as shown.
Furthermore, when the mirror visor 2 is raised and brought closer to its original position, the coupling members 25 and 28 come into contact, and the protrusion 25

It consists of a pair of coupling members installed on the operating lever and the mirror visor, respectively, so that at least one of them is spring-biased toward the other so that the two come into contact with a constant pressure. Two protrusions are provided at positions separated from each other on both sides, and the other of the coupling members is provided with engagement recesses that face the protrusions and engage the protrusions in a removable manner, and the protrusions are provided in the engagement recesses. In the engaged state, the mirror holder is freely displaced relative to the mirror visor by rotating or tilting the operating lever, while when the projection is disengaged from the engagement recess against the spring pressure, the mirror visor is moved relative to the mirror stay. A manual adjustment device for a foldable mirror, characterized in that it can be freely displaced.
