In place of the conventional ring-type spinning machine, many attempts have been made to develop various spinning methods with the aim of increasing spinning speed, reducing the number of spinning steps, and improving yarn quality, including open-end spinning, air spinning, Alternatively, a method of mechanically contact-twisting the yarn, etc., have generally been proposed.
However, it is known that all of these methods still have problems in the strength, elasticity, dyeability, etc. of the yarn, and also have limitations in spinning speed, yarn type, count, use, etc.

In the method for producing spun yarn according to the present invention, a staple fiber bundle drafted by a drafting device is introduced between two belts that cross each other and run in different directions, and the yarn is nipped by the running force of both belts. False twisting is applied to the fiber bundle, and the outer layer of the fiber bundle is caused to slip, that is, untwisted, with respect to the inner layer in the area where the false twist is formed, and the fibers in the slipped outer layer are passed through the belt. In the untwisting region, the yarn is entangled on the inner layer to obtain a spun yarn.

In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a known draft device consisting of roller pairs including a back roller 2, a middle roller 3, and a front roller 4, and a staple fiber bundle S is introduced between the roller pairs and sent out in a pressed state. It is drafted to a predetermined thickness. After the fiber bundle S exits the draft device 1, it goes straight and is inserted into the guide ring 5.
After being bent downward by an angle a, it is introduced into the false twisting device 6.

The structure of the false twisting device 6 is as shown in FIG.
Two endless belts B1 and B2, each having a constant width W, are arranged to intersect with each other in an X-shape at a predetermined angle, and the intersecting portions are in contact with each other under a predetermined pressure. Each of the belts B1 and B2 is wound between a driving pulley 7 and a driven pulley 8, and travels in the directions of arrows 11 and 12 as the driving pulley 7 rotates in the directions of arrows 9 and 10, and carries the fiber bundle S. On the upstream side thereof, it is twisted in the direction of arrow 13 and sent out in the direction of arrow 14.

As mentioned above, the false twisting device 6 has two belts B1,
The fiber bundle S is twisted and false-twisted by the running force of B2, but the twist is actually formed at the twisting point A, which is just before the fiber bundle S separates from the intersection between the belts. Furthermore, at the introduction point C where the fiber bundle S is introduced into the intersection, the fiber bundle S twisted at the twisting point A is simply rotating. At the introduction point C above, belts B1 and B
Since there is a difference between the twisting speed of 2 and the rotational speed of the fiber bundle S, the belts B1 and B2 rub the surface of the outer layer of the fiber bundle S, loosening each twisted fiber and partially releasing it. to generate fluff f1. Further, the fiber bundle S is also rubbed by the guide ring 5, and at this time fuzz f2 is generated.
Furthermore, when strong twisting is performed at high speed by the false twisting device 6, the twist slips at position D immediately after the fiber bundle S leaves the front roller 4, and at this time, some fibers are scattered and fuzz f3 occurs. .
These three types of fuzz f1, f2, f3 are wound around the surface of the inner layer of the fiber bundle as the fiber bundle S rotates in the opposite direction when the fiber bundle S exits the false twisting device 6 and is untwisted. The bundle S is tied together to form a spun yarn Y.

Since the false twisting device 6 is of the belt type explained in FIG. Appropriate tension is applied between the fiber bundle S and the device 6, and the convergence of the fiber bundle S can be maintained, but this can be made more effective by providing a guide ring 5 to bend the course of the fiber bundle S. become a target. In addition, by bending the fiber bundle S at the introduction point between the belts B1 and B2, the introduction point C is made clear, prompting the generation of fluff f1, and the fiber bundle S is bent at the introduction point C between the guide ring 5 and the introduction point C. By ballooning the fiber bundle S, it is also possible to promote the generation of fluff f2 in the ring 5. Furthermore, the fiber bundle S is attached to belt B.
1. By bending at the part separating from B2, the twisting point A and the untwisting start position are made clear, and rapid reverse rotation of the fiber bundle S is realized to effectively wind the fluffs f1, f2, and f3. This can be done in a specific manner. Therefore, each of the above angles a, b1, b
2 may be freely changed and adjusted depending on the spinning speed and yarn count. It is preferable that the inner surface of the guide ring 5 is made of a material having a relatively large coefficient of friction, such as rubber or ceramic, to enhance the abrasive action of the ring 5.

As explained above, according to the present invention, a spun yarn can be easily produced from a staple fiber bundle using an apparatus having a simple structure. Since the fiber bundle is introduced between two belts that intersect and run in different directions and is false twisted, high-speed spinning is possible. Compared to the yarn obtained by the conventional method described above, the yarn obtained by the present invention generates fuzz due to the abrasion action in at least two places: the abrasion caused by the guide ring and the abrasion caused by the belt running, so the number of wound fibers is large. It was confirmed that the yarn has excellent yarn strength and can be spun with a wide range of yarn types and yarn counts.

1. The staple fiber bundle drafted by the drafting device is brought into sliding contact with a fixed guide surface such as a guide ring, and introduced between two belts, and these two belts intersect and run in different directions to achieve the above-mentioned When the staple fiber bundle is false-twisted, at least the thread path of the fiber bundle leaving the two belts is bent with respect to the contact surface of the belt, so that the twisting point by the two belts is The spinning method is characterized in that the two belts are biased toward the belt detachment position, and the two belts run against the fiber bundle upstream of the twisting point while rubbing the surface of the outer layer, thereby generating fuzz.
