Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 (産業上の利用分野) 本願は互いにトルクを伝える二軸間の角度を比較的大き
く許容し得る自在継手に関するものである。
(従来の技術とその問題点) 二軸が一線になく角度をなしていても平滑に二軸間にト
ルクを伝えるための自在継手が多数開発されているが、
軸の交角は最大でも45°までであり、回転が早い場合
や伝達すべきトルクが大きくなると、軸の交角は20°
以下に制限せざるを得ない。
(問題点を解決するための手段) 本発明自在継手はこの問題点を解決するため、駆動軸と
被動軸とをそれぞれ連結することができ対向する内端に
球部をそれぞれ有する軸部と、自在継手の縦軸線を含む
縦断面内で球面に沿って転動するようハウジングと前記
軸部との間に配置したボールと、前記ハウジング内で自
在継手の縦軸線の横方向に摺動でき中心部に前記軸部の
前記球部を収容するピボット受け部を有する円板部材を
具えることを特徴とする。
(作 用) 等連形の自在継手を対向して配置し、縦軸線の横方向に
摺動できるピボット受け部に駆動軸と被動軸との対向す
る内端の球部を収容したから二軸間の角度を非常に大き
くとることができる。またその許容最大角を円板部材が
ハウジング内で摺動できる限度により確認することがで
きる。
(実施例) 第1図に本発明自在継手の一実施例を示す。この自在継
手は例えば駆動軸及び被動軸を連結できるスプライン部
2をそれぞれ有する軸部4,6を具える。ハウジング8
は左右対称形で溶接部10によって一体のハウジングを
形成すると共にその中心に円形の溝12を形成する。こ
の溝12内にはピボット受け部14を有する円板部材1
6が収容される。
ピボット受け部14には軸部4,6の内端の球部18゜
20がそれぞれ収容され、軸部4,6の角度の変化につ
れて円板部材16が自在継手の縦軸線Xの方向の横方向
に溝12内を摺動する。縦軸線Xを含む自在継手の縦断
面内で円弧に沿ってボール22が転動できる溝24を左
右のハウジング8の内面に形成する。これ等ボール22
は、軸部4,6の回転につれて軸部4.6に固着したボ
ール受け26の溝28内を転動する。
ハウジング8と軸部4,6間には可撓性のブーツ30を
取付け、内部のグリース等の潤滑油が漏洩するのを防止
すると共に、塵埃等の侵入を防止する。
本発明では自在継手を以上のように構成したので軸部4
,6はそれぞれボール22を介していずれの方向へも自
在に動くことができるため2個の軸の角度が60〜80
’のように大きな角度でもトルクを伝えることができる
。ここに言う角度とは第1図の軸部4.6の軸線がなす
角αのことである。
またこの角度αが最大値に達した時は円板部材16がハ
ウジング8の溝12の外側に当接するのでストッパーと
しての役割を果たす。またブーツ30を設けたので塵埃
や水の侵入を防止し、潤滑油を保持することができる。
(発明の効果) 等連形の自在運動部を2個直列に配置したので2軸間の
角度が80°のような大きな角度でもトルクを伝導する
ことができる。また許容最大角に達した場合には円板部
材がストッパーとしての役割を果たす。またブーツによ
り自在継手を密閉したので、耐久性が高く、メインテナ
ンスが不要である。

  1. 1、駆動軸と被動軸とをそれぞれ連結することができ対
    向する内端に球部をそれぞれ有する軸部と、自在継手の
    縦軸線を含む縦断面内で球面に沿って転動するようハウ
    ジングと前記軸部との間に配置したボールと、前記ハウ
    ジング内で自在継手の縦軸線の横方向に摺動でき中心部
    に前記軸部の前記球部を収容するピボット受け部を有す
    る円板部材を具えることを特徴とする自在継手。
