Description

The present invention relates to a compact container.

For example, a compact container that includes a container that houses an inner tray that holds the solid contents and a lid that can swing relative to the container is known as a container used for carrying solid contents such as pressed powder made by solidifying powder cosmetics.

As shown in Patent Document 1, for example, such compact containers generally have a mirror on the back of the lid body that can be used to check the state of makeup.

In recent years, there has been a strong demand for environmental protection and efficient use of resources, and there is a demand for products with high recyclability. However, in conventional compact containers, the mirror is attached to the back of the lid body, for example, using an adhesive or an adhesive sheet, and it is not easy to remove the mirror from the lid body. For this reason, even when disposing of a used compact container, it is difficult to separate the lid body and the mirror.

In view of these problems, the present invention aims to propose a compact container that allows the mirror to be easily removed from the lid when disposing of the container, etc.

Below, an embodiment of a compact container according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In this specification, "upper" and "lower" basically refer to the orientation when the bottom wall portion (2a) of the container body (2) is placed on a horizontal surface (the orientation shown in FIG. 1(a)). Also, "front" refers to the side where the unlocking member (3) shown in FIG. 1 is provided, and "rear" refers to the opposite side. Also, "left" and "right" refer to the left-right direction when viewed from the front to the rear.

1 to 3 show a first embodiment of a compact container according to the present invention. The compact container 100 of this embodiment is used when carrying solid contents such as pressed powder made by solidifying powder cosmetics. The compact container 100 includes a container 1 (comprised of a container body 2, an unlocking member 3, and a partition member 4) and a lid body 5 (comprised of a frame-shaped member 6, a cover member 7, a mirror 8, and an elastic member 9). The container body 2, the unlocking member 3, the partition member 4, the frame-shaped member 6, and the cover member 7 of this embodiment are made of a relatively hard synthetic resin such as acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) resin. The mirror 8 is mainly made of glass. The elastic member 9 is made of a relatively soft synthetic resin (such as polypropylene (PP) resin) or an elastomer (rubber or thermoplastic elastomer). The compact container 100 also contains a bottomed cylindrical inner plate 10 in which the solid contents are stored.

The container body 2 forms the outer shell of the container 1, and as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, it has a plate-like bottom wall 2a that is rectangular in plan view, and a body peripheral wall 2b (see Fig. 2(b)) that is provided around the outer edge of the bottom wall 2a, and is shaped roughly like a bottomed cylinder. As shown in Fig. 2(b), the widthwise center portion at the rear of the container body 2 is shaped in a concave shape. Here, this concave portion is called the recess 2c. The side walls (walls located in the left-right direction) that define the recess 2c are provided with an axial hole 2d (shown by an imaginary line) for swinging the lid 5. In addition, the widthwise center portion at the front of the container body 2 is provided with a groove 2e for sliding the unlocking member 3 in the front-rear direction, an inclined portion 2f located above the groove 2e, and a container-side engagement claw 2g provided behind the inclined portion 2f.

The unlocking member 3 is slidably attached to the groove 2e and can be moved in the front-rear direction relative to the container body 2. The unlocking member 3 is used when opening the lid 5, and has an engagement release portion 3a that is pushed upward by the inclined portion 2f when pushed backward.

The partition member 4 is attached to the inside of the container body 2 and has the function of storing the inner plate 10 and the like without shifting. In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2(b), a total of two rectangular holes 4a are provided, and the inner plate 10 can be stored in the left hole 4a. The right hole 4a can store an applicator (not shown) such as a puff.

The frame-shaped member 6 constitutes the outer periphery of the lid body 5 and is shaped roughly like a picture frame in plan view. An opening 6a that is rectangular in plan view is provided in the center of the frame-shaped member 6 (see FIG. 1(a)). The wall that defines the opening 6a has an inward flange portion 6b that protrudes toward the opening 6a (see the partially enlarged view of FIG. 1(a)).

At the rear of the frame-shaped member 6, a protrusion 6c is provided that protrudes from above to below and is shaped to fit into the recess 2c of the container body 2 as shown in FIG. 2(b). The side wall (wall located in the left-right direction) of the protrusion 6c is provided with an axis 6d (shown by a two-dot chain line in FIG. 1) that is inserted into the axis hole 2d provided in the side wall of the recess 2c described above to enable the lid body 5 to swing relative to the container 1. The axis hole 2d of the recess 2c and the axis part 6d of the protrusion 6c may be interchanged, and the axis part 6d may be provided in the recess 2c and the axis hole 2d may be provided in the protrusion 6c. The protrusion 6c is provided with a hole 6e that is rectangular in plan view as shown in FIG. 2 and is shaped so that the protrusion 6c penetrates in the vertical direction. In addition, the front wall that defines the hole 6e is provided with an engagement part 6f that is formed to be convex toward the hole 6e (toward the rear) as shown in FIG. 1(a).

As shown in FIG. 1(a), the front lower part of the frame-shaped member 6 is provided with a lid-side engaging claw 6g that engages with the container-side engaging claw 2g to keep the lid 5 in the closed state. As shown in the partially enlarged view of FIG. 1(a), the front upper part of the frame-shaped member 6 is provided with an upper wall 6h that extends upward, and in front of the upper wall 6h is provided an engaging portion 6f that has a shape similar to that of the engaging portion 6f provided at the rear of the frame-shaped member 6.

The cover member 7 constitutes the center of the lid body 5 and is shaped roughly rectangular in plan view. The cover member 7 has a plate-shaped top wall portion 7a that covers and closes the opening 6a. As shown in FIG. 1(a), the top wall portion 7a also covers and conceals the hole portion 6e. Therefore, the hole portion 6e is not noticeable in plan view. In addition, a lower wall 7b is provided at the front lower portion of the top wall portion 7a, which is located forward of the upper wall 6h and extends downward from the top wall portion 7a. The inner peripheral surface of the lower wall 7b is formed to be convex toward the inside and is provided with an engaged portion 7c that engages with the engaging portion 6f.

At the rear of the cover member 7, as shown in Fig. 1(a), an elastic piece 7d is provided that is formed to fit into the hole 6e and is capable of bending and deforming in the front-to-rear direction relative to the top wall 7a. As shown in Fig. 1(a), the elastic piece 7d is shaped like a crank (in the state shown in the figure, it extends downward, then bends at a right angle to extend backward, and then bends at a right angle to extend downward again). In addition, the engaged portion 7c described above is provided on the wall surface of the elastic piece 7d that faces the engaging portion 6f.

Mirror 8 is plate-shaped and rectangular in plan view.

The elastic member 9 is shaped roughly like a picture frame in plan view. As shown in the partially enlarged view of FIG. 1(a), the elastic member 9 includes a rectangular cylindrical annular wall 9a located at the bottom, a lower support wall 9b extending outward from the annular wall 9a, a side support wall 9c extending upward from the outer edge of the lower support wall 9b, and an upper support wall 9d extending inward from the top of the side support wall 9c.

The elastic member 9 is fitted into the opening 6a so that it is placed on the inward flange portion 6b of the frame-shaped member 6, with the outer edge of the mirror 8 surrounded by the inside of the lower support wall 9b, side support wall 9c, and upper support wall 9d. Then, by pressing the cover member 7 against the frame-shaped member 6, the engaging portion 6f and the engaged portion 7c engage, and the cover member 7 is held by the frame-shaped member 6. In this state, the elastic member 9 is sandwiched between the frame-shaped member 6 and the cover member 7, and the mirror 8 is clamped.

In the compact container 100 having such a configuration, when the lid body 5 is closed on the container 1, the lid body side engagement claw 6g engages with the container side engagement claw 2g, so that the lid body 5 can be maintained in a closed state. Therefore, even when the compact container 100 is carried, the inner plate 10 and the applicator contained therein do not jump out of the compact container 100. On the other hand, when applying makeup, when the unlocking member 3 is pressed from the front to the rear, the inclined portion 2f pushes up the engagement release portion 3a, lifting the lid body side engagement claw 6g, so that the engagement between the container side engagement claw 2g and the lid body side engagement claw 6g is released, and the lid body 5 can be opened.

When removing the mirror 8 from the compact case 100, the cover 5 is opened as shown in FIG. 3(a), and the removal tool J (a coin in this embodiment) is inserted through the hole 6e. Then, as shown in FIG. 3(b), the removal tool J is tilted forward and backward to deflect the elastic piece 7d, which disengages the engaging part 6f from the engaged part 7c, allowing the cover member 7 to be removed from the frame member 6. As a result, the elastic member 9 and the mirror 8 that were sandwiched between the frame member 6 and the cover member 7 can be removed. After that, the mirror 8 can be removed from the elastic member 9 by pulling the elastic member 9 to spread it. That is, according to the compact case 100 of this embodiment, the container body 2, the unlocking member 3, the partition member 4, the frame member 6, and the cover member 7, which are made of a relatively hard synthetic resin, the mirror 8, which is made mainly of glass, and the elastic member 9, which is made of a relatively soft synthetic resin, can be separated.

As shown in FIG. 1(a), the elastic piece 7d is hidden inside the hole 6e and cannot be touched accidentally, preventing the mirror 8 from being removed unintentionally. The hole 6e is located at the rear of the compact case 100 where it is not easily noticeable, and is hidden by the top wall 7a in a plan view, so the appearance is not marred. Furthermore, since the vertical length of the protrusion 6c is relatively long, the length of the elastic piece 7d located inside it can also be made long. In other words, the elastic piece 7d can be bent with a relatively small force, making it easier to remove the mirror 8.

Next, a second embodiment of a compact case according to the present invention will be described with reference to Figures 4 to 6. The compact case 200 of this embodiment includes a frame member 16 and a cover member 17, which are partially different in configuration from the frame member 6 and cover member 7 described above.

The frame-shaped member 16 has an opening 16a, an inward flange portion 6b, a protrusion portion 6c, a shaft portion 6d, an engagement portion 6f, a cover-side engagement claw 6g, and an upper wall 16h, which are configured similarly to the above-mentioned opening 6a, the inward flange portion 6b, the protrusion portion 16c, the shaft portion 16d, the engagement portion 16f, the cover-side engagement claw 16g, and the upper wall 16h, while having a cutout portion 16j instead of the above-mentioned hole portion 6e. As shown in Figures 4 and 5(a), the cutout portion 16j is provided so as to cut out the upper portion of the protrusion portion 16c in the horizontal direction at the rear of the compact case 200. Note that, as shown in the partial enlargement of Figure 1(a), the engagement portion 6f of the compact case 100 is provided on the front wall that defines the hole portion 6e at the rear, but as shown in Figure 4, the engagement portion 16f of the compact case 200 is provided on the upper wall 16h at both the front and rear.

The cover member 17 does not have the elastic piece 7d described above, and has a top wall 17a, a bottom wall 17b, and a bottom engaged part 17c instead of the top wall 7a, bottom wall 7b, and engaged part 7c described above. The rear center part of the top wall 17a protrudes so as to cover the upper part of the notch 16j, as shown in Figures 4 and 5(a). Note that the bottom wall 7b of the compact case 100 is not provided at the rear as shown in Figure 1(a), but the bottom wall 17b of the compact case 200 is also provided at the rear as shown in Figure 4. The bottom wall 17b also has a bottom engaged part 17c at both the front and rear that engages with the engaging part 16f.

In the compact case 200 having such a configuration, the cutout portion 16j is provided at the rear of the compact case 200 and is therefore less noticeable. Also, the rear center portion of the top wall portion 17a protrudes to hide the cutout portion 16j, making the cutout portion 16j less noticeable and not compromising the appearance.

When removing the mirror 8 from the compact case 200, as shown in FIG. 6(a), the lid 5 is closed and a removal tool J (a coin in this embodiment) is inserted into the cutout 16j. Then, as shown in FIG. 6(b), the removal tool J is tilted upward to deflect the top wall 17a, thereby releasing the engagement between the engaging part 16f and the engaged part 17c. This allows the elastic member 9 and mirror 8 that were sandwiched between the frame member 16 and the cover member 17 to be removed, and the mirror 8 can be removed from the elastic member 9 by pulling the elastic member 9 to spread it apart. Thus, even in the compact case 200 of this embodiment, the components can be separated by material.

Although one embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to such a specific embodiment, and various modifications and changes are possible within the scope of the spirit of the present invention described in the claims unless otherwise specifically limited in the above description. Furthermore, the effects of the above embodiment are merely examples of the effects resulting from the present invention, and do not mean that the effects of the present invention are limited to the above effects.

For example, in the above-described embodiment, the mirror 8 is indirectly clamped between the frame members 6, 16 and the cover members 7, 17 by the elastic member 9, but it may be clamped directly between the frame members 6, 16 and the cover members 7, 17 without providing the elastic member 9.
