Description
本願は、本明細書に開示される他の特許および特許出願の全てとともに、参照することによってその全体として本明細書に組み込まれる、2017年11月14日に出願された、米国仮特許出願第62/585,663号に基づく優先権を主張する。
医薬品の経皮送達は、皮膚障壁を横断して移動することが可能である薬物について効果的であることが証明されている。例えば、少量のニコチンが、エチレン酢酸ビニル(EVA)共重合体中にニコチンを懸濁させる経皮パッチを用いて、長期間の周期にわたって送達されることができる。例えば、GlaxoSmithKline(Brentford,UK)によるNicoderm−CQ(登録商標)を参照されたい。商業的に利用可能な経皮パッチの大部分のものは、オキシコドンおよびトコフェロール等の、1つのみの薬物または貯蔵に対応する薬物の組み合わせを伴う母材を含有する。例えば、Phosphagenics,Ltd.(Melbourne,AU)製TPM/オキシコドンパッチを参照されたい。なお、多成分パッチの有効性は、成分が相互作用するため、時間に伴って低下し得る。例えば、ロチゴチン経皮パッチ(UCB,Inc.(Smyrna,GA)製Nuepro(登録商標))における結晶化の報告書を参照されたい。
本発明は、経皮送達システムを提供し、それによって、活性分子が、電位を用いて投与され得るようにすることによって、これらの必要性に対処する。本発明のシステムは、異なるタイプ、異なる濃度、および/または異なる体積の活性分子の同一の送達システムからの送達を可能にする。活性分子は、医薬化合物、ビタミン、アジュバント、生物製剤、浸透剤、ワクチン、または遺伝子材料(すなわち、DNAもしくはRNA)であり得る。活性分子は、水溶性または非水溶性であり得る。

本発明は、活性分子送達システムであって、それによって、活性分子が要求に応じて放出され得、および/または種々の異なる活性分子が同一のシステムから送達され得、ならびに/もしくは異なる濃度の活性分子が同一のシステムから送達され得る、活性分子送達システムを提供する。本発明は、患者に医薬品を経皮的に送達することに非常に好適であるが、しかしながら、本発明は、概して、活性成分を送達するために使用されてもよい。例えば、本発明は、輸送の間、ウマに鎮静薬を送達することができる。活性分子送達システムは、第1の電極と、複数のマイクロセルと、多孔性伝導層とを含む。マイクロセルは、活性分子を含む媒体で充填される。マイクロセルは、開口部を含み、開口部は、多孔性伝導層によって跨架される。マイクロセルアレイは、異なる活性成分が装填され、それによって、要求に応じて、異なるまたは相補的な活性成分を送達するための機構を提供し得る。
Claims (20)
- 活性分子送達システムであって、前記活性分子送達システムは、
第1の電極と、
活性製剤を含有する複数のマイクロセルであって、開口部を有する複数のマイクロセルと、
10nm〜100μmの平均細孔サイズを有する多孔性拡散層と、
多孔性伝導層であって、前記複数のマイクロセルは、前記第1の電極と前記多孔性伝導層との間に配置されており、かつ、前記多孔性伝導層が前記複数のマイクロセルの前記開口部に隣接するように配向されている、多孔性伝導層と、
前記第1の電極と前記多孔性伝導層とに結合されている電圧源と
を備え、
前記活性製剤は、活性分子と、電場の存在下で移動する荷電粒子とを含み、
前記電場は、前記電圧源によって印加され、前記電場は、前記多孔性伝導層から離れる方向に前記荷電粒子の運動を引き起こし、これにより、前記多孔性伝導層を介して前記活性分子を送達することを可能にする、活性分子送達システム。 - 前記活性分子送達システムは、前記複数のマイクロセルの前記開口部と前記多孔性伝導層との間にシール層をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の活性分子送達システム。
