Description
本出願は、2014年9月30日出願の欧州特許出願第14187156.6号に対する優先権を主張するものであり、この出願の全内容は、あらゆる目的のために参照により本明細書に援用される。
そこに開示されている方法は、800〜3500の、好ましくは1000〜2500の分子量を有する、一端もしくは両端酸基(前記酸基は場合により、カルボン酸基、リン酸基またはスルホン酸基である)を場合により有する、フルオロポリエーテル酸または塩の同時使用を場合により含む。
より具体的には、その実施例3および実施例5は、テトラフルオロエチレンが、ヘキサフルオロヘキサン酸アンモニウムと、商品名KRTYOX(登録商標)157 FSLの式−(CF(CF3)CF2O)−の分岐鎖を持った一官能性パーフルオロポリエーテルとの混合物の存在下で重合させられる重合法の例示的な実施形態である。
− 前記水性媒体に対して、1〜5g/lの量で、少なくとも1つのパーフルオロヘキサノエート酸または塩[界面活性剤(C6)]と;
− 少なくとも1つ1つの線状の二官能性パーフルオロポリエーテル界面活性剤[界面活性剤(PFPE)であって、本明細書で以下の式(I):
XpOOC−CF2−O−(CF2O)n’(CF2CF2O)m’−CF2−COOXp (I)
[式中:
− 互いに等しいかもしくは異なる、Xpは、水素原子、一価の金属、好ましくはアルカリ金属、または式−N(R’n)4(式中、出現ごとに等しいかもしくは異なる、R’nは、水素原子またはC1〜C6炭化水素基、好ましくはアルキル基である)のアンモニウム基であり;
− n’およびm’は独立して、界面活性剤(PFPE)の数平均分子量が500〜2500であるように0超の整数である]
に従う界面活性剤(PFPE)において、前記水性媒体に対して、0.005〜0.5g/lの量で使用される界面活性剤(PFPE)と
を含む界面活性剤混合物[混合物(S)]を含む水性媒体中で実施される方法に関する。
XaOOC−CF2−O−(CF2O)a’(CF2CF2O)a”−CF2−COOXa (II)
(式中:
− 互いに等しいかもしくは異なる、Xaは、水素原子またはNH4基であり;
− a’およびa”は、比a”/a’が0.3〜10に含まれるような、そして数平均分子量が500〜2000の、好ましくは600〜1800であるような整数である)
に従う。
− Shanghai ShengleiからBAOFLON 6Aとして商業的に入手可能な、パーフルオロヘキサン酸アンモニウム塩(本明細書では以下、C6界面活性剤)は、受け取ったまま使用した。DuPontTMから商業的に入手可能なKrytox(登録商標)157 FSLは、1つのカルボン酸末端基と組み合わせられたヘキサフルオロプロピレンオキシドに由来する繰り返し単位を含む鎖をベースとする一官能性の分岐PFPE(本明細書では以下、Krytox(登録商標))である。1600の平均分子量を有する、式HOOC−CF2−O−(CF2O)n’(CF2CF2O)m’−CF2−COOHの二官能性の線状PFPE(本明細書では以下、Z−DIAC)を使用した。
羽根車かき混ぜ機を備えた90リットルの総容量の重合反応器に、52リットルの脱イオン水を装入した。酸素を含まない反応器を69℃まで加熱し、かき混ぜ系を48rpmに設定した。反応器に、1kgのパラフィンワックス、235gのC6界面活性剤を含有する水溶液を、そして20bargの圧力までTFEを装入した。重合を、水溶液中の130mgのペルオキソ二硫酸アンモニウム(NH4)2S2O8(APS)および2600mgのジコハク酸ペルオキシド(DSAP)によって開始させた。反応が開始したときに、20bargの反応圧力を気相へのTFEの供給によって維持した。反応温度を0.25℃/分の速度で85℃まで上げた。12kgのTFEの供給後に、モノマー入口バルブを閉め、攪拌を停止した。反応器を圧抜きし、ガス抜きし、冷却した。そのようにして得られたポリマー分散系は不安定であり、合計で転化したTFEの約49%になる、大量の凝塊が検出された。ラテックス中の測定されるポリマーは、ラテックス中の理論ポリマーが18%w/wであるはずであるのに対して9.4%w/wであることが分かった。ラテックス粒子径は、レーザー光散乱(LLS)によれば280nmであり、DSC分析を用いて第2融解熱は27.3J/gであった。
供給および転化TFEの量、ならびに反応時間を変えることを除いては、実施例1について上に詳述されたのと同じ重合手順を繰り返した。詳細を表1にまとめる。
実施例1と類似の重合手順を、しかし、表1に記載されるような濃度で、C6界面活性剤およびZDiacを両方とも含む水溶液を、C6界面活性剤単独を含有する水溶液の代わりに使用して、ならびにTFEの量および反応時間で繰り返した。

Claims (11)
- フルオロポリマー分散系の製造方法であって、前記方法が、1つ以上のフッ素化モノマーの水性乳化重合を含み、ここで、前記水性乳化重合が、
− 水性媒体に対して、1〜5g/lの量で、少なくとも1つのパーフルオロヘキサノエート酸または塩[界面活性剤(C6)]と;
− 少なくとも1つの線状の二官能性パーフルオロポリエーテル界面活性剤[界面活性剤(PFPE)]であって、ここで以下の式(I):
XpOOC−CF2−O−(CF2O)n’(CF2CF2O)m’−CF2−COOXp (I)

− 互いに等しいかもしくは異なる、Xpは、水素原子、一価の金属、または式−N(R’n)4(式中、出現ごとに等しいかもしくは異なる、R’nは、水素原子またはC1〜C6炭化水素基である)のアンモニウム基であり;

に従う界面活性剤(PFPE)において、前記水性媒体に対して、0.005〜0.5g/lの量で使用される界面活性剤(PFPE)と
を含む界面活性剤混合物[混合物(S)]を含む水性媒体中で実施される方法。 - 前記混合物(S)が有利には、ナトリウム塩、カリウム塩、アンモニウム塩からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つのパーフルオロヘキサン酸塩を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 界面活性剤(C6)の量が、前記水性媒体に対して、1.5〜5g/lである、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 界面活性剤(PFPE)の量が、前記水性媒体に対して、0.01〜0.25g/lである、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記水性乳化重合が、10〜150℃の温度でおよび/または2〜50バールの圧力で実施される、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法であって、前記フッ素化モノマーがテトラフルオロエチレンであり、場合により、3〜8個の炭素原子を有するパーフルオロオレフィンおよびパーフルオロアルキル(オキシ)ビニルエーテルからなる群から選択される1つ以上のパーフルオロモノマーとテトラフルオロエチレンを組み合わせる方法。
- 前記重合から直接生じるフルオロポリマー分散系中の固形分の量が3重量%〜40重量%である、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記フルオロポリマーの粒径(体積平均径)が40nm〜400nmである、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- − 少なくとも1つのパーフルオロヘキサノエート酸または塩[界面活性剤(C6)]と;
− 少なくとも1つの線状の二官能性パーフルオロポリエーテル界面活性剤[界面活性剤(PFPE)]であって、ここで以下の式(I):
XpOOC−CF2−O−(CF2O)n’(CF2CF2O)m’−CF2−COOXp (I)

を含む界面活性剤混合物[混合物(S)]を含むフルオロポリマー分散系。 - 前記フルオロポリマーが、テトラフルオロエチレンホモポリマーと、ヘキサフルオロプロピレンおよびパーフルオロアルキル(オキシ)ビニルエーテルから選択される、少なくとも1つのフッ素化コモノマーに由来する繰り返し単位を含むテトラフルオロエチレンコポリマーとからなる群から選択される、請求項9に記載の分散系。
- 請求項9または10に記載の分散系であって、前記分散系が、フルオロポリマー固形分を基準として1〜12重量%の量で、少なくとも1つの非イオン性安定化界面活性剤をさらに含む分散系。
