コンデンサーを装着した5000mLの四つ口フラスコにゲラニオール2700gを添加し、槽内を100〜110℃に加熱し、徐々に系内の圧力を低下させ1.0kPaに到達した時点から2時間脱水処理を行った。2時間後フラスコからサンプリングを行い、カールフィッシャーにより含水量が200μg/gであることを確認した後、室温まで冷却を行った。
次に、コンデンサーを装着した5000mLの四つ口フラスコに、上で脱水処理されたゲラニオール2488.3g(16.13mol)、テトラエトキシシラン800.2g(3.83mol)、及び20質量%ナトリウムエトキシドエタノール溶液0.96g(2.82mmol)を入れ、窒素気流下エタノールを留出させながら130℃で2時間攪拌した。その後、槽内の圧力を徐々に4kPaまで下げ、エタノールを留出させながら130℃で更に3時間攪拌した。その後、冷却し、圧力を大気圧とした後、生成物を濾過し、式(1)で表されるケイ酸エステルを含む2555.8kgの黄色油状物を得た。得られた油状物をガスクロマトグラフィーにより分析した。得られた油状物は、4つゲラニオールが4つ置換したケイ酸エステルであった。

コンデンサーを装着した5000mLの四つ口フラスコにゲラニオール2046.3g、及びSMC859.3gを添加し、槽内を100〜110℃に加熱し、徐々に系内の圧力を低下させ1.0kPaに到達した時点から2時間脱水処理を行った。2時間後フラスコからサンプリングを行い、カールフィッシャーにより含水量が200μg/gであることを確認した後、室温まで冷却を行った。
次に、コンデンサーを装着した5000mLの四つ口フラスコに、上で脱水処理されたゲラニオールとSMCの混合物2641.5g(ゲラニオール12.06mol、ウンデカベルトール4.02mol)、テトラエトキシシラン800.2g(3.83mol)、及び20質量%ナトリウムエトキシドエタノール溶液0.96g(2.82mmol)を入れ、窒素気流下エタノールを留出させながら130℃で2時間攪拌した。その後、槽内の圧力を徐々に4kPaまで下げ、エタノールを留出させながら130℃で更に3時間攪拌した。その後、冷却し、圧力を大気圧とした後、生成物を濾過し、式(1)で表されるケイ酸エステルを含む2758.3kgの黄色油状物を得た。得られた油状物をガスクロマトグラフィーにより分析した。得られた油状物は、ゲラニオール3つとSMC1つが置換したケイ酸エステルであった。

実施例1〜9、比較例1〜4
表1に示すヘアコンディショナーについて、以下の方法及び基準に従って保存安定性及びニオイの評価を行った。

〔保存安定性(成分(A)の残存率)〕
表1に示す処方のヘアコンディショナーを調製した後脱泡し、110mLのガラス瓶に入れ、50℃の恒温槽で保存し、1週間後に取り出した。
HPLC(外部標準法)を用いて、保存前・保存後の各サンプル1g中に存在するケイ酸エステルを定量した。
No.5のスクリュー管(マルエム社製)にサンプルを精密天秤で1.00g量り取り、そこにホールピペットを用いてエタノール(HPLC用)10mLを入れ、超音波で10分間分散させた。
その後、アドバンテック東洋社製のDISMIC-13C(13HPO2OAN)でろ過してHPLC用サンプルとした。
<HPLC条件>
・カラム:L-Column ODS(4.6×150mm、5μm、12nm)
・カラム温度:40℃
・溶離液:アセトニトリル(HPLC用)
・流速:1.000mL/min
・検出器:UV=210nm
・注入量:30μL
・保持時間:25min
上記方法による定量結果から、保存前・保存後の各サンプル中に存在するケイ酸エステル量を求め、下記式に基づいて残存率を算出し、表1に示した。
残存率=(保存後のケイ酸エステル量)/(保存前のケイ酸エステル量)

Thereafter, it was filtered with a DISMIC-13C (13 HPO 2 OAN) manufactured by Advantec Toyo Kaisha, Ltd. to prepare a sample for HPLC.

From the quantitative results by the above method, the amount of silicate ester present in each sample before storage and after storage was determined, and the remaining rate was calculated based on the following formula, and is shown in Table 1.

〔匂いの快適性〕
製造直後の各サンプルで以下の評価を行った。
中国人毛ヘアトレス(化学処理なし)20gを以下に示す未賦香のシャンプーで1分間洗浄した後、1分間40℃の水道水ですすぐ。このトレスに表1又は2に示すヘアコンディショナー1.5gを塗布後1分間指でなじませ続けた。この際における匂い強度を評価した。
その後上記トレスを1分間水ですすぎ、タオルドライの後、室温で24時間放置して乾燥させ、匂い強度を評価した。
匂い強度の評価は、7名の専門パネラーがヘアトレスの匂いを直接嗅ぎ、「強すぎる」、「ちょうどよい」、「弱すぎる」のいずれかを択一的に選択することで行った。表1にそれぞれの選択人数を順に示した。
