Description
アクリル酸、メタクリル酸、アクリレート、メタクリレート、アセテート及び酢酸ビニルからなる群より選択される極性基を含むエチレンのコポリマーと;立方センチメートル当たり0.860から0.910グラム(g/cm3)の密度を有するシングルサイト触媒を用いて製造したエチレンのコポリマーと;ハンタイト及び/又はハイドロマグネサイトを含む無ハロゲン無機充填剤と、無水マレイン酸で修飾されたエチレンのホモポリマー又はコポリマーとを含む難燃性ポリマー組成物が現在知られている。
− アルミニウム三水和物を63重量%、
− EVAを22.75重量%、
− 非官能化LLDPEを9重量%、
− 無水マレイン酸グラフトでグラフトされたLLDPEを5重量%、及び
− 酸化防止剤を0.25重量%。
− 50から75重量%の難燃性充填剤、
− 0.1から45重量%の、極性官能基を有するエチレン性モノマーとエチレンとのコポリマー、
− 10から25重量%の非官能化超低密度ポリエチレン(VLDPE)、
− 任意選択的に、10%までの添加剤、
− 及び0.1から10重量%の直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)、
からなることを特徴とし、
超低密度ポリエチレン(VLDPE)の密度が0.85から0.91であること、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレンの密度が0.91より高いこと、及び直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)が主鎖に存在する無水マレイン酸グラフトでグラフトされていることを特徴とする、組成物に関する。
− 上記の直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)が、組成物の重量の、有利には2.5%から7%、好ましくは3.5%から5%である;
− 上記の超低密度ポリエチレン(VLDPE)が、最大で組成物の重量の20%である;
− 好ましくは、極性官能基を有するエチレン性モノマーが、3から20個の炭素原子、好ましくは4から8個の炭素原子を含む;
− 好ましくは、極性官能基を有するエチレン性モノマーが、飽和カルボン酸ビニルエステル、不飽和カルボン酸、又は不飽和カルボン酸(メタ)アクリル酸エステルから選択される;
− 有利には、難燃剤が無機充填剤、特に水酸化アルミニウム(aluminum trihydroxide)及び/又は水酸化マグネシウム(magnesium dihydroxide)である;
− 添加剤が、酸化防止剤、UV安定剤、帯電防止剤、無機充填剤、着色顔料、ゼオライト及び/又は「滴下防止」剤(シリコーン(PDMS)ベースの製品、又はPTFE等のフッ素化製品)から選択される;
− 本発明の好ましい代替的形態によると、上記の難燃性充填剤は、組成物の重量の60%を超える。
− 極性官能基を有するエチレン性モノマーとエチレンとのコポリマー
− 0.85から0.91の超低密度の非官能化ポリエチレン、
− 無水マレイン酸グラフトでグラフトされている、0.91より高い密度の直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン。
本発明の組成物は、均質な組成物を生じさせるために成分を混合し、成分間で起こりうる化学反応を実施する、一段階法に従って調製されうる。こうした組成物は、高い装填量の充填剤を有する熱可塑性樹脂を加工するための一般的な手段、例えば押出加工又は混練によって種々の構成成分を混合することにより調製されうる。内部ミキサー、コニーダー又は共回転二軸押出機が用いられうる。組成物は、好ましくは、構成成分の融点以上且つ難燃剤が分解し始める温度よりも低い温度で調製される。
以下に記載の配合物を、直径46ミリメートルで、長さが直径の15倍であり、直径70ミリメートルのシングルテークアップスクリュー(single take−up screw)を備えたBuss社製PR46ブランドのコニーダーによる押出成形によって調製する。このコニーダーのスクリュー及びバレルを、それぞれ100℃と110℃で加熱し、一方シングルテークアップスクリューは150℃で加熱する。押出流量は、285回転/分(毎分回転数)のコニーダーの回転速度に対して15kg/時(毎時キログラム)である。種々の構成成分(難燃性充填剤を除く)を第一のホッパー(ホッパー1)に導入し、また、難燃性充填剤はホッパー1及び2に等分に導入する。

Orevac(登録商標)18340:アルケマ製でLLDPE−g−MAと称され、3g/10分のMFI(ISO1133に従い190℃、2.16kgで測定)及び0.918の密度を有する、無水マレイン酸でグラフトされた直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン。
Evatane(登録商標)28−03:アルケマ製でEVAと称され、3g/10分のMFI(ISO1133に従い190℃、2.16kgで測定)を有する、エチレンと酢酸ビニル(28重量%)とのコポリマー。
LLDPE:1g/10分のMFI(ISO1133に従い190℃、2.16kgで測定)及び0.921の密度を有する直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン。
VLDPE:1g/10分のMFI(ISO1133に従い190℃、2.16kgで測定)及び0.870の密度を有する超低密度ポリエチレン。
Fusabond(登録商標)N525:デュポン製でVLDPE−g−MAと称され、0.88の密度を有する、無水マレイン酸でグラフトされた超低密度ポリエチレン。
酸化防止剤:例えばフェノール系の酸化防止剤。
実施例2:「DM2」と表示された組成物は、先行技術による配合物である。DM2は、EVAを23重量%、VLDPEを10重量%及びMAグラフトVLDPEを4重量%の割合で含む。
実施例3:「DM3」と表示された組成物は、本発明の範囲の配合物ではなく、LLDPE−g−MAを含まない。DM3は、EVAを23重量%及びVLDPEを14重量%の割合で含む。
実施例4:「DM4」と表示された組成物は、本発明の範囲の配合物ではなく、無水マレイン酸でのグラフトにより官能化されていないLLDPEを含む。DM4は、EVAを19重量%、VLDPEを14重量%及びLLDPEを4重量%の割合で含む。
実施例5:「DM5」と表示された組成物は、本発明の範囲の配合物である。DM5は、EVAを19重量%、VLDPEを14重量%及びLLDPE−g−MAを4重量%の割合で含む。
実施例6:「DM6」と表示された組成物は、本発明の範囲の配合物である。DM6は、EVAを15重量%、VLDPEを18重量%及びLLDPE−g−MAを4重量%の割合で含む。
実施例7:「DM7」と表示された組成物は、本発明の範囲の配合物である。DM7は、EVAを12重量%、VLDPEを22重量%及びLLDPE−g−MAを3重量%の割合で含む。
実施例8:「DM8」と表示された組成物は、本発明の範囲の配合物ではない。DM8は、EVAを22重量%、VLDPEを9重量%及びLLDPE−g−MAを6重量%の割合で含む。
実施例9:「DM9」と表示された組成物は、本発明の範囲の配合物ではない。DM9は、EVAを27重量%、VLDPEを4重量%及びLLDPE−g−MAを2重量%の割合で含む。
実施例10:「DM10」と表示された組成物は、本発明の範囲の配合物である。DM10は、EVAを2重量%、VLDPEを27重量%及びLLDPE−g−MAを8重量%の割合で含む。
実施例11:「DM11」と表示された組成物は、本発明の範囲の配合物ではなく、非常に高い重量パーセントのLLDPEを含む。DM11は、EVAを11重量%、VLDPEを14重量%及びLLDPEを12重量%の割合で含む。
実施例12:「DM12」と表示された組成物は、本発明の範囲の配合物ではない。DM12は、EVAを22.75重量%、LLDPEを9重量%及びMAグラフトVLDPEを5重量%の割合で含む。
フラットダイを備え、材料の特徴付け又は試験のために必要な試験片を切り出すためのストリップを得るために押出機が150℃に加熱されている、ThermoHaake Rheocord(登録商標)システム40型の実験用異方向二軸押出機を用いて粒子又は構成成分を成形する。
以下の表に示す結果に関しては、DM2からDM4及びDM11の試験片は、実施した試験全体に対するこれらの結果があまり良くないことを判明させ、実際、想定した使用に対して不十分でさえあり、満足できるものではない。
試験片DM1に関しては、全体的な試験結果は確かに悪くはないが、本組成物は、(任意選択の添加剤を除いて)四つの構成成分を含み、それでコストが高くなり、その製造方法は相対的に複雑で長い。
試験片DM5からDM7のみが、本発明の組成物に合致している。 試験片DM5からDM7は、異なる熱可塑性構成成分のそれぞれの好ましい割合を示すことが可能な差異があり、申し分のない特性を示す。
具体的には、これらの試験により、結果の好ましい範囲、すなわち、DM5とDM6の結果がDM7又はDM8の結果より優れていて、DM7又はDM8の結果が、試験片DM9とDM10の結果より良いということの確認が可能になることに注目されたい。
一般的に、組成物が、想定される用途において申し分のないものになるためには、異なる試験について以下のような結果が得られる必要がある:
破壊伸び率が≧150%、好ましくは≧200%、より好ましくは≧250%でなければならない。
破断応力が、≧10MPa(メガパスカル)、好ましくは≧1MPa 、より好ましくは≧12MPaでなければならない。
当業者に周知のショアD測定値(単位なし)が、≦41でなければならない。
また、当業者に周知の加熱変形試験の結果が、80℃で≦50%、好ましくは90℃で≦50%、より好ましくは100℃で≦50%でなければならない。
Claims (9)
- ハロゲンフリーの難燃性熱可塑性組成物であって、
− 50から75重量%の難燃性充填剤、
− 0.1から45重量%の、極性官能基を有するエチレン性モノマーとエチレンとのコポリマー、
− 10から25重量%の非官能化超低密度ポリエチレン(VLDPE)、
− 任意選択的に、10%までの添加剤、
− 及び2.5から7重量%の直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)
からなることを特徴とし、
超低密度ポリエチレン(VLDPE)の密度が0.85から0.91であること、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレンの密度が0.91より高いこと、及び直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)が主鎖に存在する無水マレイン酸グラフトでグラフトされていること及び添加剤が、酸化防止剤、UV安定剤、帯電防止剤、無機充填剤、着色顔料、ゼオライト、「滴下防止」剤(シリコーン(PDMS)ベースの製品、又はPTFE等のフッ素化製品)及び/又は可塑剤から選択されることを特徴とする、を特徴とする、組成物。 - 上記の直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)が、組成物の重量の3.5%から5%であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 上記の超低密度ポリエチレン(VLDPE)が、最大で組成物の重量の20%であることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の組成物。
- 極性官能基を有するエチレン性モノマーが、3から20個の炭素原子を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から3の何れか一項に記載の組成物。
- 極性官能基を有するエチレン性モノマーが、4から8個の炭素原子を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から4の何れか一項に記載の組成物。
- 極性官能基を有するエチレン性モノマーが、飽和カルボン酸ビニルエステル、不飽和カルボン酸、又は不飽和カルボン酸(メタ)アクリル酸エステルから選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1から5の何れか一項に記載の組成物。
- 難燃剤が、無機充填剤であることを特徴とする、請求項1から6の何れか一項に記載の組成物。
- 上記の難燃性充填剤が、組成物の重量の60%より多く存在することを特徴とする、請求項1から7の何れか一項に記載の組成物。
- 少なくとも二つの層を有し、少なくともその何れか一方の層が請求項1から8の何れか一項に記載の熱可塑性組成物により形成される、ケーブル又はパイプ。
