- 船舶からの排ガス用のスクラバ(1)であって、該スクラバ(1)は下側及び上側スクラブチャンバ(3、13)を備え、これらスクラブチャンバ(3、13)は実質的に縦方向に配置される共通の長軸に対して実質的に軸対称であり、前記下側スクラブチャンバ(3)の最上部に、これと同軸的にかつその排出口が狭窄するように下側チャンバ排ガス排出体(12)が設けられ、前記下側スクラブチャンバから浄化不充分の排ガスを排出させて前記上側スクラブチャンバ(13)へ導入する、スクラバ(1)において、
前記下側スクラブチャンバ(3)の底部にはこれに連通する排ガス管(2)が実質的に同軸上に配置され、この排ガス管(2)は前記下側スクラブチャンバ(3)内に開口し、前記上側スクラブチャンバの最上部にはこれに連通する排ガス排出体(20)が同軸的に配置され、
前記排ガス管(2)の開口部の上に下側スクラブチャンバ偏向体(4)が配置され、前記排ガスの流方向を前記スクラバの壁側へ偏向してガス乱流を形成し、ここにおいて前記下側スクラブチャンバ偏向体(4)は反対方向を向いた二つの直錐体であって、共通の底面と前記スクラバの長軸に一致する共通の軸とを備え、
前記下側スクラバチャンバ偏向体(4)の上に一又は複数の下側チャンバ水噴射装置(6、6’)が配置されて前記排ガスの流れに洗浄水が導入され、前記下側チャンバ水噴射装置の少なくとも一つ(6)は前記下側チャンバ排ガス排出体(12)に向かって上向きに配置される、ことを特徴とするスクラバ。 - 前記下側スクラブチャンバ(3)の底部に集められた洗浄水を排出するために一又は複数の下側チャンバ水排出体(8)が設けられる、請求項1に記載のスクラバ。
- 前記下側チャンバ水噴射装置(6、6’)は実質的に前記下側スクラブチャンバの長軸に沿って設けられる、請求項1又は2に記載のスクラバ。
- 前記下側スクラブチャンバ内に二又はそれ以上の前記下側チャンバ水噴射装置が設けられ、該下側チャンバ水噴射装置の少なくとも一つ(6’)は前記下側スクラブチャンバ偏向体(4)に向かって下向きに配置される、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のスクラバ。
- 前記スクラバの壁にリング状下側チャンバ壁偏向器(5)が設けられる、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のスクラバ。
- 下向きの前記直錐体の頂角(α)は80〜100°であり、上向きの前記直錐体の頂角(α’)は70〜90°である、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のスクラバ。
- 前記下側スクラブチャンバ(3)内であって前記下側スクラブチャンバ偏向体(4)の下に一又は複数の水ミストノズルが設けられる、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のスクラバ。
- 前記上側スクラブチャンバ(13)内であって前記下側チャンバ排ガス排出体(12)の上に上側スクラブチャンバ偏向体(14)が設けられる、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のスクラバ。
- 前記上側スクラブチャンバ内に一又は複数の上側チャンバ水噴射装置(16)が設けられる、請求項6に記載のスクラバ。
- 前記上側スクラブチャンバの最上部にデミスタが設けられ、洗浄された前記排ガス中の水ミストを減少させる、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載のスクラバ。
- 排ガスを洗浄するための方法において、該排ガスをスクラバに導入し該スクラバにおいて該排ガスを海水と接触させて洗浄し該排ガス中のSOX及び粒子を減少させる方法であって、該方法は、
a 二又はそれ以上の連続的に結合されたスクラブチャンバからなるチューブ状のスクラバの下側スクラブチャンバ(第一番目のスクラブチャンバ)内へこれと同軸上に配置された排ガス管を介して洗浄用の前記排ガスを導入するステップ、
b ガス乱流を形成するために前記排ガス管の開口部の上に配置された偏向体によって前記排ガスの流れを偏向するステップ、ここにおいて前記偏向体は反対方向を向いた二つの直錐体であって、共通の底面と前記スクラバの軸に一致する共通の軸とを備え、
c 前記排ガスを洗浄するために該排ガス中に水滴を導入するステップ、
d 同軸的かつその排出口が狭窄するように設けられた下側チャンバ排ガス排出体を介して前記第一番目のスクラブチャンバから洗浄済みの前記排ガスを排出するステップ、
e 第二番目のスクラブチャンバ内へ洗浄済みの前記排ガスを導入するステップであって、該排ガスをさらに洗浄するステップ、
f 前記洗浄済みの排ガスを周辺へ放出するステップ、を含み、
ステップ(c)で導入される前記水滴の少なくとも一部は下側チャンバ水噴射装置によって導入され、該下側チャンバ水噴射装置は前記下側チャンバ偏向体の上に配置され該下側チャンバ水噴射装置の少なくとも一つは前記下側チャンバ排ガス排出体に向かって上向きに水を噴霧する、方法。 - ステップ(a)と(b)の間で、入ってくる前記排ガスに水ミストを導入して該排ガスを冷却し加湿する、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記スクラバから排出される使用済み前記洗浄水は前記周辺の海へ放出される、請求項11又は12に記載の方法。
- 前記使用済み洗浄水を放出する前に該使用済み洗浄水から前記粒子を除去する、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記使用済み洗浄水は前記スクラバへリサイクルされる、請求項11又は12に記載の方法。
- 前記使用済み洗浄水は前記スクラバへリサイクルされる前に前記粒子の量を減少させるために処理される、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 前記スクラバ内へ前記使用済み洗浄水をリサイクルする前に該使用済み洗浄水にアルカリを添加する、請求項15又は16に記載の方法。
- 前記アルカリは、MgO又はMg(OH)2の水溶液である、請求項17に記載の方法。
