Description
(1)不図示の直流正極端子314から接続導体部371U、(2)接続導体部371Uから素子側接続導体部372Uを介して上アーム用IGBT328および上アーム用ダイオード156の一方側電極(素子側接続導体部372Uと接続された側の電極)、(3)上アーム用IGBT328および上アーム用ダイオード156の他方側電極からワイヤ336を介して接続導体部373U、(4)接続導体部373Uから結線端子370の接続部374U、374Dを介して接続導体部371D、のように流れる。なお、前述のように上アームは、IGBT328とダイオード156を並列接続した回路部を2組並列に接続して構成される。よって、上記(2)の電流経路において、電流は、素子側接続導体部372Uにて2つに分岐され、分岐された電流は2組の回路部へそれぞれ流れる。
(1)接続導体部371Dから素子側接続導体部372Dを介して下アーム用IGBT330および上アーム用ダイオード166の一方側電極(素子側接続導体部372Dと接続された側の電極)、(2)下アーム用IGBT330および下アーム用ダイオード166の他方側電極からワイヤ336を介して接続導体部373D、(3)接続導体部373Dから不図示の直流負極端子316、のように流れる。なお、上アームと同様に下アームは、IGBT330とダイオード166を並列接続した回路部を2組並列に接続して構成されるので、上記(1)の電流経路において、電流は、素子側接続導体部371Dにて2つに分岐され、分岐された電流は2組の回路部へそれぞれ流れる。
(1)インバータ回路を内蔵する2つのパワーモジュール300を並列配置した電力変換装置200において、パワーモジュール300の並列配置の方向に幅広な正極導体板507および負極導体板505が絶縁シート517を介して積層された3層積層構造の積層配線板501と、積層配線板501の正極導体板507と負極導体板505との間に並列接続された複数のコンデンサセル514と、前記並列配置の方向に幅広な正極側導体板702および負極側導体板704が絶縁シート706を介して積層された3層積層構造を有し、2つのパワーモジュール300の正極側および負極側と積層配線板501とをそれぞれ接続する積層導体板700と、を備えた。すなわち、図2,11〜13に示したように、積層配線板501および積層導体板700は、いずれもパワーモジュール300の並列配置の方向に幅広な一対の導体板を絶縁シート等の絶縁層を介して積層した構造を有しているため、複数のコンデンサセル514から2つのパワーモジュール300までの配線部分のインダクタンスおよび抵抗を小さくすることができる。また、積層配線板501に複数のコンデンサセル514を並列接続するようにしたので、コンデンサモジュールは容量の大きな一つのコンデンサとして機能する。その結果、配線部分の低インピーダンス化を図ることができ、例えば、スイッチング時のサージ電圧を低減することができる。さらに、サージ電圧を低減してスイッチングロスを図ることでインバータ回路の発熱が低減でき、冷却系の小型化を図れる。また、過大な発熱によるスイッチング半導体素子の寿命低下を防止することができる。なお、並列配置の方向に幅広な導体板を用いて積層配線を構成しているので、2つのパワーモジュール300に対して、インピーダンスの均等化を図りやすい。

- 第1モータに出力する複数の交流相の相毎に正極側半導体スイッチユニットおよび負極側半導体スイッチユニットを有する第1パワーモジュールと、
第2モータに出力する複数の交流相の相毎に正極側半導体スイッチユニットおよび負極側半導体スイッチユニットを有する第2パワーモジュールと、
前記第1および第2パワーモジュールを冷却する冷却ジャケットと、
複数のコンデンサと、
前記複数のコンデンサと接続される第1配線板と、
正極導体板および負極導体板が絶縁層を介して積層され、かつ、前記第1パワーモジュールと前記第2パワーモジュールとの間の空間の上部を跨るように形成され、前記第1パワーモジュールおよび前記第2パワーモジュールと接続される第2配線板と、
前記第1配線板と前記第2配線板とを接続する第1コンデンサ端子と、
前記第1配線板と前記第2配線板とを接続する第2コンデンサ端子と、を備え、
前記第1パワーモジュールおよび第2パワーモジュールは、前記冷却ジャケットの一方の面側に配置され、
前記複数のコンデンサおよび前記第1配線板は、前記冷却ジャケットを挟んで、前記第1パワーモジュール及び前記第2パワーモジュールと対向する位置に配置され、
前記第1コンデンサ端子は、前記冷却ジャケットの側部であって、前記第2パワーモジュールよりも前記第1パワーモジュールに近い位置に配置され、

前記第1パワーモジュールは、前記正極側半導体スイッチユニットおよび前記負極側半導体スイッチユニットを搭載する第1放熱ベースを備え、

前記第3のパワーモジュールの放熱ベースを前記冷却ジャケットの前記他方の面に固定したことを特徴とする電力変換装置。 - 請求項8に記載の電力変換装置において、
前記複数のコンデンサに蓄積された電荷を放電するための放電回路を前記第3のパワーモジュールに内蔵し、
前記放電回路を、前記第3のパワーモジュールの正極部と負極部との間に接続したことを特徴とする電力変換装置。 - 請求項9に記載の電力変換装置において、
前記放電回路は放電抵抗および該放電抵抗に直列接続された放電用スイッチを備え、
前記放電用スイッチは前記第3のパワーモジュールの放熱ベースに実装し、
前記放電抵抗は前記冷却ジャケット底面に固定したことを特徴とする電力変換装置。 - 請求項8乃至10のいずれか一項に記載の電力変換装置において、
電力変換装置の直流電力入力端子と前記第1配線板との間に設けられた各直流電力入力ラインと、電力変換装置に設けた接地端子とを接続する一対のコンデンサを備え、
前記各直流電力ライン上に、前記直流電力入力端子側から順に、前記第3のパワーモジュールの入力ラインの接続点と前記一対のコンデンサの各接続点とを設けたことを特徴とする電力変換装置。 - 請求項1乃至11のいずれか一項に記載の電力変換装置と、
前記第1パワーモジュールにより駆動される第1のモータジェネレータと、
前記第2パワーモジュールにより駆動される第2のモータジェネレータとを備えたことを特徴とする電動車両。
