Claims (4)
- インクリメンタルパターンと原点パターンが形成されたスケールと、該スケールに対して相対移動可能で、前記インクリメンタルパターンにより生成される主信号波形を用いて相対移動方向及び相対移動量を検出するための検出ヘッドと、該検出ヘッドの相対移動方向に応じてカウントアップ又はカウントダウンされる内部カウンタとを有するエンコーダの原点信号生成に際して、
前記原点パターンから得られる原点波形に基づき、前記インクリメンタルパターンから得られる主信号波形と同期させて、
前記検出ヘッドが第1の方向に相対移動する時は、前記内部カウンタのアップパルスの立上りに応じて所定幅の原点信号をソフトウェアで生成し、
一方、前記検出ヘッドが第1の方向とは逆の方向に相対移動する時は、前記内部カウンタのダウンパルスの立上りに応じて所定幅の原点信号をソフトウェアで生成することを特徴とするエンコーダの原点信号生成方法。 - 前記原点信号を、電源投入後の初期動作で検出した原点位置に基づいて発生することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエンコーダの原点信号生成方法。
- インクリメンタルパターンと原点パターンが形成されたスケールと、該スケールに対して相対移動可能で、前記インクリメンタルパターンにより生成される主信号波形を用いて相対移動方向及び相対移動量を検出するための検出ヘッドと、該検出ヘッドの相対移動方向に応じてカウントアップ又はカウントダウンされる内部カウンタとを有するエンコーダの原点信号生成装置において、
前記インクリメンタルパターンから主信号波形を得る手段と、
前記原点パターンから原点波形を得る手段と、
原点信号の幅を記憶する手段と、
前記原点波形に基づき、前記インクリメンタルパターンから得られる主信号波形と同期させて、前記検出ヘッドが第1の方向に相対移動する時は、前記内部カウンタのアップパルスの立上りに応じて所定幅の原点信号をソフトウェアで生成し、一方、前記検出ヘッドが第1の方向とは逆の方向に相対移動する時は、前記内部カウンタのダウンパルスの立上りに応じて所定幅の原点信号をソフトウェアで生成する手段と、
を備えたことを特徴とするエンコーダの原点信号生成装置。 - 電源投入後の初期動作で検出した原点位置を記憶する手段を更に備えたことを特徴とする請求項3に記載のエンコーダの原点信号生成装置。
