Description
Claims (10)
- 空気入りタイヤの外壁表面に結合されたとき、タイヤ内圧を示す抵抗値を提供するための可変抵抗変位センサ要素と、
前記変位センサ要素に結合され、不十分なタイヤ内圧に対応する抵抗値を無線周波数発生器の起動信号に変換するプロセッサと、
前記プロセッサによって起動されたとき、低タイヤ空気圧警告信号を送信する無線周波数発生器回路と
を含む外部装着タイヤ空気圧センサ・システム。 - 前記可変抵抗変位センサ要素が、長手方向の変位に対して、実質的に線形の可変抵抗特性を備える請求項1に記載の発明。
- 前記可変抵抗変位センサ、前記プロセッサ、前記無線周波数発生器回路が可撓性の基板上に装着される請求項1に記載の発明。
- 前記可変抵抗変位センサ、前記プロセッサ、前記無線周波数発生器回路に電力を供給する直流電源をさらに含む請求項1に記載の発明。
- 前記プロセッサが、空気入りタイヤが1回転する間に、前記可変抵抗変位センサによって提供される最大抵抗値と最小抵抗値を決定し、前記最大抵抗値と前記最小抵抗値の差を計算する値決定回路をさらに含む請求項1に記載の発明。
- 前記プロセッサが、所定の閾値と前記差を比較し、前記差が前記所定の閾値より大きいとき前記無線周波数発生器を起動させる比較回路をさらに含む請求項5に記載の発明。
- 前記プロセッサが、前記差の大きさに従って、前記値決定回路と前記比較回路の前記動作を制御する制御回路をさらに含む請求項6に記載の発明。
- 前記制御回路が、前記差の大きさが前記閾値を超えないとき、前記値決定回路と前記比較回路の動作を第1の時間遅延させ、前記差の大きさが前記閾値を超えたとき、前記値決定回路と前記比較回路の動作を第2の時間遅延させる請求項7に記載の発明。
- 前記第1の時間が前記第2の時間より長い請求項8に記載の発明。
- 運転者に警告を行うため、前記低タイヤ空気圧警報信号を受信・復号する受信回路・復号器を車体本体内に設けた請求項1に記載の発明。
