Description
また、本発明は、上記課題を解決するために、赤色の発光素子、緑色の発光素子及び青色の発光素子ごとに複数個縦列接続された発光素子群からなるバックライトユニットを制御する制御装置において、上記バックライトユニットの有する発光素子群に所定の駆動電流を供給する電流供給手段と、上記電流供給手段により供給された電流に応じて、上記バックライトユニットの有する発光素子群から発せられる光量を検出する発光量検出手段と、上記バックライトユニットの温度を検出する温度検出手段と、上記バックライトユニットの有する発光素子の基準光量値を色毎に出力する基準光量値出力手段と、上記発光量検出手段により検出された発光量と、上記温度検出手段により検出された温度と、上記基準光量値出力手段により出力される色毎の基準光量値に基づき、上記青色の発光素子に供給する駆動電流の値を決定し、決定した駆動電流の値を維持したままで、当該駆動電流を上記青色の発光素子に供給させ、上記赤色の発光素子及び上記緑色の発光素子に供給する駆動電流の値を上記温度検出手段によって検出されたバックライトユニットの温度の上昇に応じて増加させるように調整し、調整した駆動電流を上記赤色の発光素子及び上記緑色の発光素子に供給させるように上記電流供給手段を制御する制御手段とを備えることを特徴とする。
Claims (4)
- 表示パネルユニットと、この表示パネルユニットの背面側に組み合わされて表示光を供給する赤色の発光素子、緑色の発光素子及び青色の発光素子ごとに複数個縦列接続された発光素子群からなるバックライトユニットと、このバックライトユニットを制御する制御装置とを備える表示装置であって、
上記制御装置は、
上記バックライトユニットの有する発光素子群に所定の駆動電流を供給する電流供給手段と、
上記電流供給手段により供給された電流に応じて、上記バックライトユニットの有する発光素子群から発せられる光量を検出する発光量検出手段と、
上記バックライトユニットの温度を検出する温度検出手段と、
上記バックライトユニットの有する発光素子の基準光量値を色毎に出力する基準光量値出力手段と、
上記発光量検出手段により検出された発光量と、上記温度検出手段により検出された温度と、上記基準光量値出力手段により出力される基準光量値とに基づき、上記青色の発光素子に供給する駆動電流の値を決定し、決定した駆動電流の値を維持したままで、当該駆動電流を上記青色の発光素子に供給させ、上記赤色の発光素子及び上記緑色の発光素子に供給する駆動電流の値を上記温度検出手段によって検出されたバックライトユニットの温度の上昇に応じて増加させるように調整し、調整した駆動電流を上記赤色の発光素子及び上記緑色の発光素子に供給させるように上記電流供給手段を制御する制御手段と
を備える表示装置。 - 所定の操作信号を生成する操作信号生成手段を備え、
上記電流供給手段は、
上記操作信号生成手段によって生成された操作信号に応じて、上記青色の発光素子に供給する駆動電流値を任意の電流値に可変し、上記可変した電流値に応じて上記赤色の発光素子及び上記緑色の発光素子に供給する駆動電流を可変する
請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 赤色の発光素子、緑色の発光素子及び青色の発光素子ごとに複数個縦列接続された発光
素子群からなるバックライトユニットを制御する制御装置において、
上記バックライトユニットの有する発光素子群に所定の駆動電流を供給する電流供給手段と、
上記電流供給手段により供給された電流に応じて、上記バックライトユニットの有する発光素子群から発せられる光量を検出する発光量検出手段と、
上記バックライトユニットの温度を検出する温度検出手段と、
上記バックライトユニットの有する発光素子の基準光量値を色毎に出力する基準光量値出力手段と、
上記発光量検出手段により検出された発光量と、上記温度検出手段により検出された温
度と、上記基準光量値出力手段により出力される色毎の基準光量値に基づき、上記青色の発光素子に供給する駆動電流の値を決定し、決定した駆動電流の値を維持したままで、当該駆動電流を上記青色の発光素子に供給させ、上記赤色の発光素子及び上記緑色の発光素子に供給する駆動電流の値を上記温度検出手段によって検出されたバックライトユニットの温度の上昇に応じて増加させるように調整し、調整した駆動電流を上記赤色の発光素子及び上記緑色の発光素子に供給させるように上記電流供給手段を制御する制御手段と
を備える制御装置。 - 所定の操作信号を生成する操作信号生成手段を備え、
上記電流供給手段は、
上記操作信号生成手段によって生成された操作信号に応じて、上記青色の発光素子に供給する駆動電流値を任意の電流値に可変し、上記可変した電流値に応じて上記赤色の発光素子及び上記緑色の発光素子に供給する駆動電流を可変する
請求項3記載の制御装置。
