Claims (3)
- プロジェクタタイプの車両用前照灯おいて、
回転楕円面を基調とするメイン反射面を有するメインリフレクタと、
前記メイン反射面の第1焦点近傍に配置された光源と、
前記メイン反射面の第2焦点近傍に配置され、前記メイン反射面で反射された反射光のうち、一部の反射光をカットオフし、かつ、残りの反射光を通過させて所定のメイン配光パターンを形成するシェードと、
前記第2焦点および前記シェードよりも前側に配置され、前記メイン配光パターンを外部前方に投影する投影レンズと、
前記メインリフレクタと前記投影レンズとの間であって左右両側に配置されたサブリフレクタと、
前記サブリフレクタに設けられ、前記光源からの光を反射させて前記投影レンズを経て前記メイン配光パターンの左右の外側に所定のサブ配光パターンとして照射するサブ反射面と、
を備え、
前記サブ反射面は、前記サブ反射面の光軸を含む水平断面形状が楕円を基本とする自由曲線であり、前記サブ反射面の第1焦点が前記光源近傍に位置し、かつ、前記サブ反射面の第2焦点が前記投影レンズ中もしくは前記投影レンズよりも前方側に位置し、前記自由曲線を前記光軸に対してほぼ直交しかつ前記サブ反射面の第1焦点近傍を通る軸を中心として回転させてなる面から構成されている
ことを特徴とする車両用前照灯。 - プロジェクタタイプの車両用前照灯おいて、
回転楕円面を基調とするメイン反射面を有するメインリフレクタと、
前記メイン反射面の第1焦点近傍に配置された光源と、
前記メイン反射面の第2焦点近傍に配置され、前記メイン反射面で反射された反射光のうち、一部の反射光をカットオフし、かつ、残りの反射光を通過させて所定のメイン配光パターンを形成するシェードと、
前記第2焦点および前記シェードよりも前側に配置され、前記メイン配光パターンを外部前方に投影する投影レンズと、
前記メインリフレクタと前記投影レンズとの間であって左右両側に配置されたサブリフレクタと、
前記サブリフレクタに設けられ、前記光源からの光を反射させて前記投影レンズを経て前記メイン配光パターンの左右の外側に所定のサブ配光パターンとして照射するサブ反射面と、
を備え、
前記サブ反射面は、前記サブ反射面の光軸を含む水平断面形状が楕円を基本とする自由曲線であり、前記サブ反射面の第1焦点が前記光源近傍に位置し、かつ、前記サブ反射面の第2焦点が前記投影レンズ中もしくは前記投影レンズよりも前方側に位置し、前記自由曲線を前記光軸に対してほぼ直交しかつ前記サブ反射面の第1焦点近傍を通る軸を中心として回転させながら前記サブ反射面の第2焦点が前記光軸に対してほぼ垂直線上に位置するように前記基本楕円の長軸を徐変させてなる面から構成されている、
ことを特徴とする車両用前照灯。 - 左側の前記サブ反射面の第2焦点は、前記メイン反射面の光軸よりも左側の前記サブ反射面側に位置し、
右側の前記サブ反射面の第2焦点は、前記メイン反射面の光軸よりも右側の前記サブ反射面側に位置する、
ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の車両用前照灯。
