相手側の雄側端子金具に設けられた雄タブを接続可能な接続部と、電線の被覆を圧着するインシュレーションバレルと、このインシュレーションバレルよりも前方側に位置して電線内部の芯線を圧着するワイヤバレルとが備えられた雌側端子金具であって、
前記接続部は、前方に前記雄タブの進入を許容する雄タブ挿入孔が設けられ後方に後方開口が設けられることで前後両方向に開放されていると共に、この接続部には上下および左右に四つの壁部が設けられて、その正断面が0.6mm〜2mmの角筒状に構成されており、前記四つの壁部のうち上側は最外壁の上面壁部とその内側の接触用壁部との二重とされ、左右側はそれぞれ一重の側壁部とされ、下側は一重の底壁部とされており、前記上面壁部の中央には窓部が切り欠かれその前端縁にはコネクタに設けられた樹脂ランスに係合する係合部が突設されており、前記接触用壁部には前記雄タブを挟持しつつ接触する接触部が打ち出し形成されていると共に、前記底壁部には、前記雄タブに対して弾性的に接触する弾性接触片と前記弾性接触片の先端部から僅かに後方位置には前記雄タブを挟持しつつ接触する第2接触部と前記弾性接触片の先端部の下方に対応する位置に開放されて前記弾性接触片が下方に弾性変形したときに先端部が嵌り込んで弾性接触片の弾性変形の幅長を大きくする当接回避窓とが設けられており、前記弾性接触片には後端側の基端部とその基端部から前上方向に向かって延出されて先端が僅かに下方に向けて湾曲された先端部とが設けられており、前記弾性接触片の基端部は底壁部に位置し、先端部は前記雄タブ挿入孔側に位置しており、前記弾性接触片の基端部は前記接触用壁部の後端側方に連結して構成されていると共に前記基端部は前記接続部が前後両方向に開放するように前記接続部の上面壁部と側壁部との内側に接するように回曲させられることで前記接続部の後部の構成壁部の上下及び左右のうちの一方側が二重とされ、前記基端部からは側方に向かって係止縁が突設されている一方、前記接続部を構成する壁部のうち側壁部と底壁部には前記係止縁が嵌り込むことで前記弾性接触片の基端部を位置決めする係止孔が設けられており、前記上面壁部の後端側縁からは雌側端子金具の上下方向を規定すると共に、雌側端子金具の姿勢の安定に寄与するスタビライザが前記接続部の後部において上面壁部から上方に向かって突設されており、前記係止縁とこのスタビライザとは、前記接続部の後部において上下に整列した状態で配置されていることを特徴とする雌側端子金具。
