この発明は収容ケースに使用することを前提とした車輪部材及びそれを使用した収容ケースに関する。

衣類や日用品を収容するためのプラスチック製の収納ケースが公知である。この種の収納ケースは押し入れやクローゼット等の収納スペースや、家具間の隙間やベランダ等のデッドスペースを利用して置かれることが一般的であり、又、多段式に積み重ねられて使用されることも多かった。

そのため、恒常的に設置されるインテリア家具と異なり、一旦置いたものを必要に応じて移動させたりずらせたりする機会が多く、移動を容易にするために底部に車輪を設置することが従来から行われていた。この場合、車輪としてキャスターを使用するものの他、収納ケース自体に車輪を組み込んだもの(例えば、特開平8−64657)が公知であった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
前記の従来技術のうちの前者のものにおいては、収納ケースに対する回動軸を備えたキャスター本体に車輪を回転自在に保持するというキャスターの構造上、製造コストが嵩む問題があった。更に、回動軸の分の高さが増す結果、その分収納ケース自体の高さが高くなり、限られたスペースに置くことを考慮した場合この問題は無視できなかった。又、後者のものにおいては、車輪による移動を望まない需要者においては車輪を取り外す作業が面倒であるいう問題があり、これは前者にも共通する問題であった。更に、以上の従来技術には収納ケースに対し、車輪による転動機能を付加するかしないかの二者択一的な発想しかなく、車輪及びそれの取り付け機構をそれ以外の用途に活用するという発想がなかった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この発明は以上の従来技術の問題点に鑑みて創作されたものであり、単に従来技術の問題点を解消するに止まらず、更にそれに新たな機能を付加することを可能とした車輪部材を提供することを目的とする。

即ち、この発明の車輪部材は下記(イ)の構成よりなる車輪部材を挿入する挿入凹部を底部又は底部及び天井部に設けると共に、上記挿入凹部の形状を車輪部材を異なる2方向に挿入可能な形状としたことを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
図1乃至図5はこの発明の車輪部材の実施例を示す図である。この発明の車輪部材は車輪6とそれが収容される車輪ケース2から構成される。車輪ケース2はプラスチックにより一方を開口部3とした中空状に構成されるものであり、ここでは周側形状が矩形の直方体に構成される。そして、車輪ケース2の上下方向の中途周側には外方に突出した係止突起4が設けられ、ここでは係止突起は車輪ケースの外周に渡り連続するフランジ状突起として構成される。この場合、係合突起の上下の車輪ケースの周側部分2A及び2Bの形状は同一であることが必須であり、これはこの発明の特徴部分である。

尚、以上の実施例において、車輪ケース2は上下に開口部を設けてもよく、又、周側形状は矩形に限らず、正方形であってもよいことは勿論である。

図6乃至1はこの発明の車輪部材を使用した収容ケースの参考例を示す図である。ここでは収容ケースとして多段式に積み重ね可能なプラスチック製の収納ケース(便宜上、下段の収容ケースの符号を11A、上段の収容ケースの符号を11Bとする。)を想定している。これらの収容ケースの底部には車輪部材1を挿入するための挿入凹部11A(11B)が4箇所に設けられる(図11参照)。又、下段の収容ケースの天井部には車輪部材1を挿入するための挿入凹部13Aが4箇所に設けられる。これらの場合において、挿入凹部11A(13A、11B)は車輪部材の車輪ケース2の周側形状に合致した形状に構成されるが、前記の実施例においては車輪ケースの円状の切り欠き溝に遊嵌・保持された車輪の回転軸7端が車輪ケースより突出するので、ここではこの部分を逃げるための凸状の逃げ部12A、12Aが挿入凹部の両側に設けられる(図10参照)。尚、収容ケースの底部に設けられる挿入凹部11A(11B)は車輪部材1の脱落を防ぐために、この実施例では車輪部材の車輪ケース2の外形より若干小さく構成し、プラスチックの弾性を利用して車輪ケースが嵌入・保持されるように構成している。一方、収容ケースの天井部に設けられる挿入凹部13Aは上記のような必要がなく、逆に積み重ねた上段の収納ケースを容易に持ち上げることを可能とするために、車輪部材の車輪ケース2の外形より若干大きく構成して遊嵌するように構成している。

車輪部材1は使用に当たっては収納ケースの挿入凹部11A(13A、11B)に挿入されるが、図7に示すようにこの場合に周側の係止突起4が挿入凹部の周側に当接することによりそれ以上の挿入を規制するためのストッパーとなる。

以上の構成よりなる収納ケースに対し、車輪部材は次のように使用可能である。
(1) 下段に位置する収容ケース10Aの底部の挿入凹部11Aに、車輪部材1の車輪ケースの2A側を挿入することにより車輪6の転動面が収容ケースの下方に位置し、収納ケースの移動用の車輪となる(図6及び図7参照)。
(2) 車輪部材1を上下に反転し、車輪ケースの2B側を下段に位置する収容ケース10Aの底部の挿入凹部11Aに挿入することにより車輪部材の非車輪側が収容ケースの下方に位置し、収納ケースの載置用のアジャスターとなる(図8参照)。
(3) 車輪部材1の車輪ケースの2B側を上段に位置する収容ケース10Bの底部の挿入凹部11Bに挿入すると共に、車輪ケースの2A側を下段に位置する収容ケース10Aの天井部の挿入凹部13Aに挿入することにより上下の収容ケースを結合するためのジョイントとなる(図6及び図9参照)。尚、この場合、車輪部材の上下は逆であってもよい。

図12乃至14はこの発明の収納ケースの実施例を示す図である。この実施例においては底部に設けられる挿入凹部20Aを十字形状とすることによりは、車輪部材1を異なる2方向に挿入可能としている。即ち、図13に示すように車輪部材の車輪の回転方向を収容ケース10Aの前後方向に合致するように車輪ケース2を挿入すれば収納ケースは前後方向に移動可能となり、図14に示すように車輪部材の車輪の回転方向を収容ケース10Aの左右方向に合致するように車輪ケース2を挿入すれば収納ケースは左右方向に移動可能となる。

【発明の効果】
以上の構成よりなるこの発明は次の特有の効果を奏する。
(1) 車輪を組み込んだ車輪部材を収納ケースの挿入凹部に挿入するだけで車輪を収納ケースに装着できるので、需要者において必要に応じてワンタッチで収納ケースへ車輪を脱着できる。
(2) 車輪ケースの上下方向の中途周側に外方に突出した係止突起が設けられ、この係合突起の上下の車輪ケースの周側形状は同一であるので、車輪部材を反転して収納ケースの挿入凹部に挿入すれば車輪部材の非車輪面が収容ケースの下方に位置し、車輪部材を収納ケースの載置用のアジャスターとして利用できる。
(3) 同様に、車輪部材を上下の収納ケースの挿入凹部間に挿入すれば、上下の収納ケースを結合するジョイントとして利用できる。
(4) 以上のように、車輪部材を多目的に利用できるので、従来それぞれの用途に応じて複数種用意していた部材が一本化され製造効率が合理化してコストダウンに寄与する。一方、需要者においても、一種類の部材をもって収納ケースの組み合わせ及び機能を自由に組み換えることが可能となる。
