Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a stringed musical instrument, and more particularly to a resonance box structure for a stringed musical instrument.
[0002]
[Prior art]
For example, as shown in FIG. 6, a stringed musical instrument M typified by a mandolin or a lute has a round semi-circular resonance box portion 40 in the body portion, and the string S is resonated so that 41 Is reflected between the sound board 42 on the surface side of the box portion and the reverberating sound is transmitted from the sound hole 43 to the outside. In the figure, reference numeral 44 denotes a string fastening portion, 46 denotes a diaphragm, and 47 denotes a piece.
[0003]
In this seeded stringed musical instrument M, the timbre changes depending on the shape of the round resonance box 40, and it is generally said that the amount of air in the box 41 should be increased in order to enhance the resonance effect. Therefore, as can be seen from the figure, the bottom portion 45 of the resonance box portion 40 is sometimes made round and deep, but in this case, the tone tends to be dark and muffled when performing a little.
[0004]
Considering the cause, during the performance, the stress m in the head direction is applied to the string fastening portion 44 by the pressure and vibration of the tension of the string S, whereby the string fastening portion 44 is attached to the rear bottom surface 45 of the resonance box 40. Is applied to the center of the rear upper surface of the resonance box 40 provided with the stress n. Then, the rear bottom surface 45 of the resonance box portion 40 protrudes rearward and bulges due to the stress n as shown exaggeratedly by a chain line 45A in FIG. 7, and the resonance box portion 40 as a whole in FIG. (5B) It is considered that the elongated shape 40A is thin on both sides as shown in the figure, and as a result, the tone is muffled or clouded.
[0005]
Thus, in view of the fact that the deformation of the rear bottom surface 45 of the resonance box portion 40 has a great effect on the expression of the tone, the inventor has conducted various trial production studies. It was found that muffled sounds could be avoided during the performance.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a stringed musical instrument having a substantially semicircular round resonance box portion, which can express a bright and taut tone without delicately muffled or clouded during performance. It is to propose a new resonance box structure that can be used.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
That is, the invention of claim 1, in Crna instrument string fastening portion have a round resonance box of the general semicircular shape is provided on the rear central portion of the upper surface of the resonance box, the round resonance box The present invention relates to a resonance box structure for a stringed musical instrument, wherein a concave portion is formed on the rear bottom surface of the box.
[0008]
The invention according to claim 2 relates to the resonance box structure for a stringed musical instrument according to claim 1, wherein the concave portion is formed in a V-shaped cross section by a plate material forming a resonance box portion.
[0009]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
1 is a perspective view of a mandolin according to one embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing a rear bottom surface of the mandolin, FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view showing the same rear bottom surface of the mandolin, and FIG. FIG. 5 is a conceptual diagram exaggeratingly showing the deformation at the rear bottom surface of the mandolin in comparison with the conventional structure.
[0010]
The mandolin 10 shown in FIG. 1 is an example of a stringed musical instrument having a round semi-circular resonance box, and has substantially the same appearance as that described in the section of the prior art. The mandolin 10 includes a neck 11, a head 12, a resonance box 20, and a string S. The seeded stringed musical instrument (10) resonates the sound in the resonance box portion 20 covered by the soundboard 13 by sounding the string S, and removes the reverberated string sound in the box from the sound hole 14 on the front side. Tell In the figure, reference numeral 15 denotes a string, 16 denotes a diaphragm, 17 denotes a piece, 18 denotes a winding, and 19 denotes a knob.
[0011]
The resonance box section 20 is formed by a body 21 formed by attaching a plurality of elongated plate pieces such as rosewood and autumnal leaves to form a substantially semicircular shape, and a sound board 13 covering the surface side of the body 21.
In the stringed musical instrument (mandolin) 10 of the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a recess 30 is formed in the rear bottom surface 25 of the round resonance box portion 20 so as to be recessed inward of the box. It is characterized by the following.
[0012]
As an example of the structure, as defined in claim 2, there is a structure in which the concave portion 30 is formed in a V-shaped cross section by a plate material forming a rear bottom surface 25 of the resonance box portion 20. The shape of the concave portion 30 in this embodiment is such that the two plate members 26 and 27 in the central portion constituting the bottom portion of the resonance box portion 20 are respectively outwardly bonded so as to form the concave portion 30 concaved at the joint J thereof. It was formed together.
[0013]
In the resonance box section 20 having the concave portion 30 configured as described above, when the string S is pulled during the performance, the string and the string at the center of the rear upper surface of the resonance box section 20 due to the pressure and vibration as described above. A tensile stress indicated by an arrow a is applied to the retaining portion 15. Then, the stress a acts on the entire rear portion of the box portion 20 as a stress b concentrated toward the chord fastening portion 15 at the center of the rear upper surface. Then, in the structure of the present invention, since the rear bottom surface 25 of the resonance box 20 is formed as the recess 30, the stress b acts as a force c for pulling the recess 30 outward.
[0014]
That is, as shown exaggeratedly in the side view of FIG. 4 and the view (5A) of FIG. 5, when the concave portion 30 is pulled outward (see the chain line 30A in the drawing), the side portion of the resonance box portion 20 is moved. The resonance box portion 20 spreads outward and has a shape 20A having a large spread as a whole. The lower part of FIG. 5 shows (5B) a conventional resonance box portion 40 having no concave portion, but in this case, there is a large difference in shape from the elongated shape 40A whose both sides are thin.
As can be understood from the comparison between the two shapes 20A and 40A, the present invention shape 20A can emit a brighter and tighter tone due to the large spread shape, whereas the conventional elongated shape 40A with thinner sides has a muffled shape. The result is a dark tone.
The structure of the present invention is not limited to the mandolin as in the embodiment, but can be used for other stringed musical instruments such as a guitar and a violin.
[0015]
【The invention's effect】
As shown and described above, according to the resonance box structure of the stringing instrument of the present invention, in a stringing instrument having a substantially semicircular round resonance box section, the box is provided on the rear bottom surface of the mechanical resonance box section. By forming the concave portion that is recessed in the direction, it is possible to express a bright and tough tone without delicately muffled or clouded during the performance.
