Description

The present invention relates to a coil component, and more particularly to a coil component constituting a common mode filter for a small high frequency.

Conventionally, various shapes of coil parts such as a common mode filter have been proposed. For example, a drum-type magnetic core has a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of a substantially rectangular core portion having a pair of short sides and a pair of long sides, and a pair of core portions provided at both ends in the longitudinal direction of the core portion. There is a structure in which a conductor is wound around the core portion (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
JP 2003-151837 A

However, in the conventional common mode filter, since the cross-sectional shape orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the core portion is substantially rectangular, when the conductor wire is wound around the core portion, the conductor wire floats from the core portion at the long side of the cross section. End up. Because of this floating, the conducting wire is displaced after winding, which has been a cause of deterioration in the performance of the common mode filter.

Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a coil component that suppresses the floating of the conductive wire from the core, suppresses the positional deviation of the conductive wire after winding , and achieves a low profile .

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention includes a substantially rectangular core portion having a cross-sectional shape consisting of a pair of short sides and a pair of long sides, and a pair of flange portions provided at both ends of the core portion. A core provided, a terminal electrode provided on each collar part, a winding wound around the core part and having both ends connected to the terminal electrode, and one long side of the core part facing each other In a coil component comprising a plate-like core having both ends fixed to a pair of flanges in a state of being separated from the core portion, it is a surface on one long side of the core portion facing the plate-like core and wound. Provided with a coil part in which a convex part is provided in a part facing the wire, and concave parts having a substantially constant interval from the outer edge of the convex part are formed only on the surface facing the core part of the plate-like core is doing.

According to such a configuration, since the convex portion is provided on the surface of at least one long side of the winding core portion facing the winding, the floating of the conductive wire is suppressed, and after winding Can be prevented from being displaced. For this reason, the position shift of the coil | winding by contact with a plate-shaped core and a coil | winding can be prevented, and the fall of the performance of coil components can be suppressed. Further, since the floating of the winding is suppressed, the distance between the plate-like core and the core part can be reduced, and the height of the coil component can be reduced. In addition, a closed magnetic path can be formed by the drum core including the core portion and the plate core. Therefore, since the leakage magnetic flux can be reduced, the impedance and inductance of the coil component can be increased. Furthermore, since only the surface facing the core portion of the plate-like core is formed with concave portions at substantially constant intervals from the outer edge of the convex portion, without reducing the cross-sectional area perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the core portion. Further, the height of the coil component can be further reduced.

According to the coil component of the present invention, floating of the conducting wire from the core portion can be suppressed, positional deviation of the conducting wire after winding can be suppressed, and a reduction in height can be achieved .

A first embodiment in which a coil component of the present invention is applied to a common mode filter will be described with reference to FIGS. As shown in FIG. 1, the common mode filter 1 includes a drum type magnetic core 2 and a substantially rectangular parallelepiped plate core 3. The magnetic core 2 and the plate core 3 are formed by compressing and firing magnetic powder such as ferrite. Molded through the process of ligation.

As shown in FIG. 2, the magnetic core 2 includes a core portion 4 and a pair of flange portions 5 and 5 provided at both ends in the longitudinal direction of the core portion 4, and the core portion 4 is bifilar wound. Two conducting wires 6A and 6B are wound.

The winding core portion 4 has a pair of first surfaces 4A, a second surface 4B (FIG. 3) opposite to the first surface 4A, and a pair of both ends of the first surface 4A and the second surface 4B. It is comprised by the connection surface 4C. As shown in FIG. 3, the distance L1 between the first surface 4A and a plane including the top surface 5A of the flange 5 described later is between the second surface 4B and a plane including the rear surface 5F of the flange 5 described later. It is comprised so that it may become shorter than the distance L2. As shown in FIG. 4, the cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the core part 4 includes an isosceles triangle first inclined side 4D-1 and second inclined side 4D-2 having a virtual long side 4D as a base. The third inclined side 4E-1 and the fourth inclined side 4E-2, which are isosceles triangles whose base is the virtual long side 4E facing the long side 4D, are connected to both ends of the pair of long sides 4D, 4E, respectively. It is composed of a pair of short sides 4F and 4G forming the connection surface 4C. Therefore, the cross section is formed into a substantially rectangular shape composed of the long sides 4D and 4E and the short sides 4F and 4G, and the first and second inclined sides 4D-1, 4D-2 and the third and fourth inclined sides 4E-1, 4E-. It has a hexagonal shape with two convex portions.

The flange portion 5 is a substantially rectangular parallelepiped, and includes a top surface 5A and a side surface 5B connected to the top surface 5A, a side surface 5C that is a connection surface between the core portion 4 and opposite to the side surface 5B, and a side surface 5B and a side surface 5C. Are formed by side surfaces 5D and 5E, and a back surface 5F opposite to the top surface 5A. The flange 5 is provided with an electrode 7A across the top surface 5A, the side surface 5B, and the back surface 5F on the side surface 5D, and over the top surface 5A, the side surface 5B, and the back surface 5F on the opposite side surface 5E side. An electrode 7B is provided. These electrodes 7A and 7B are formed on the surface of the flange 5 by plating, vapor deposition, or metal pieces.

Both ends of the conducting wire 6A and the conducting wire 6B wound around the winding core portion 4 are connected to the electrodes 7A and 7B by heat fusion with solder or the like on the pair of top surfaces 5A. And the opposing surface 3A (FIG. 3) comprised from the substantially plane of the plate-shaped core 3 contact | abuts on each top face 5A, 5A of each collar part 5, 5, and these collar parts 5, 5 are contacted. The plate-like core 3 is fixed across the bridge. In the plate-like core 3, both end portions of the facing surface 3A are fixed to the top surfaces 5A and 5A with resin. The common mode filter 1 is mounted by bonding the electrodes 7A and 7B located on the back surface 5F to a land pattern on a substrate (not shown) with cream solder. The length of the common mode filter 1 in the longitudinal direction is about 2 to 3 mm.

As described above, by making the first surface 4A and the second surface 4B of the core part 4 convex (the cross-sectional shape perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the core part 4 is a hexagon), the core part 4 The cross-sectional area orthogonal to the longitudinal direction can be increased, and the positions of the conductors 6A and 6B can be fixed at six locations when the conductors 6A and 6B are wound around the core 4. Accordingly, the floating of the conducting wires 6A and 6B can be suppressed and the positional deviation after winding can be prevented, so that the deterioration of the performance of the common mode filter 1 due to the positional deviation of the conducting wires 6A and 6B can be suppressed.

Further, since the long sides 4D and 4E are configured to face the mounting surface, the common mode filter 1 can be reduced in height, and the common mode filter 1 on the substrate until it is joined by cream soldering. The installation state of can be stabilized.

Moreover, since the common mode filter 1 includes the plate-like core 3, a closed magnetic circuit can be formed. Therefore, since the leakage magnetic flux can be reduced, the impedance and inductance of the common mode filter 1 can be increased.

A second embodiment in which the coil component of the present invention is applied to a common mode filter will be described with reference to FIGS. In this embodiment, the same reference numerals are assigned to the same parts as those in the common mode filter 1 in the first embodiment.

FIGS. 5 and 6 are views corresponding to the cross-sectional views taken along lines III-III and IV-IV in FIG. 1 of the first embodiment in the second embodiment. As shown in FIG. 5, in the second embodiment, the distance L3 between the first surface 4A and the plane including the top surface 5A is shorter than the same distance L1 (FIG. 3) in the first embodiment. The distance L4 between the second surface 4B and the plane including the back surface 5F is configured to be substantially equal to the same distance L2 (FIG. 3) in the first embodiment. Accordingly, the height of the flange portion 5 from the mounting surface is lower than the height of the flange portion 5 of the first embodiment. Then, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the first surface 4 </ b> A is prevented so that the conductive wires 6 </ b> A and 6 </ b> B and the plate-like core 3 do not contact only the surface (part) facing the core portion 4 of the plate-like core 3. To the recesses 3a at regular intervals. With such a configuration, the common mode filter 1 can be further reduced in height without reducing the cross-sectional area perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the core 4.

The common mode filter 1 according to the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications and improvements can be made within the scope described in the claims. For example, in the first embodiment, both the first surface 4A and the second surface 4B have a convex shape, but only one of the first surface 4A and the second surface 4B has a convex shape. You can do it. Although the cross-sectional shape orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the core part 4 was a hexagon, it is not limited to this, and as shown to FIG. 7 (a), (b), it is a square in the approximate center of long side 4D, 4E. Or the shape which provided the semicircle-shaped convex part 4D-3, 4E-3, 4D-4, 4E-4 may be sufficient, and the long sides 4H and 4I as shown in FIG.7 (c) are arc-shaped barrel shape. There may be. Then, when the cross-sectional shape is as shown in FIGS. 7A, 7B, and 7C and the height of the flange portion 5 is lowered as in the second embodiment, the concave portion 3a of the plate-like core 3 is formed. May be formed into a shape at regular intervals from the square or semicircular convex portions 4D-3, 4E-3, 4D-4, 4E-4 or arc-shaped long sides 4H, 4I.

Moreover, the convex part (The shape which consists of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th inclination side 4D-1, 4D-2, 4E-1, 4E-2 of FIG. 4 in the 1st surface 4A and the 2nd surface 4B, 7A, and the semicircular convex portions 4D-3, 4E-3, 4D-4, 4E-4 in FIG. 7B, the arc-shaped long side 4H in FIG. 7C, 4I) need not be provided in the same size, but may be provided in different sizes. Furthermore, it is not necessary for the first surface 4A and the second surface 4B to have the same convex shape, and two types may be selected from the convex shapes described above and each may be provided on the first surface 4A or the second surface 4B. . Moreover, it is not necessary to provide a convex part along the whole longitudinal direction of the core part 4 in the 1st surface 4A and the 2nd surface 4B, and you may provide only in the site | part which opposes conducting wire 6A, 6B.
