以上のように、本発明である屋外立設看板は、支持枠部材1と、この支持枠部材1に取り付けられると共に肉厚裏当て部材3と面状発光シート4と看板表示面5とを順次積層した看板本体2と、上記看板本体2の面状発光シート4へ電気を送るための蓄電池6と、インバータ7と、端子盤8と、上記支持枠部材1に取り付けられた太陽発電パネル10と、を備え、上記肉厚裏当て部材3に、上記端子盤8と面状発光シート4を接続する配線40を通す挿通孔9を設け、該挿通孔9は、挿通孔9に浸入した水が上記端子盤8へ向かわないように傾斜して形成されたので、看板本体2を薄型化でき、本発明の設置に必要なスペースが小さくなる。このことにより、屋外の通路に設置した場合でも、通行の妨げとはならない。発光源に面状発光シート4を用いたので、衝撃に対して破損しにくく、かつ、発光時に発熱しないので、看板本体2に触れた場合でも安全である。
太陽発電パネル10により発電された電気が蓄電池6に蓄えられるので、設置場所の付近に電源が不要となり、屋外で設置できる場所を幅広く選ぶことができる。
また、挿通孔9内を配線が通っているので、配線40の浸水によるショート及び破損を防止できる。さらに、万が一挿通孔9内に水が浸入しても、水は端子盤8へ向かわないので、端子盤8のショート及び故障を防止できる。
