【発明の属する技術分野】
この発明は、広告情報の提供を行うシステムに関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、駅や街頭など、不特定多数の人が利用する公共のスペースにおいて、広告は、ポスターや看板，掲示板などへの掲示によってなされている。また、ビデオ画像の上映によってもなされている。

また、近年では、双方向通信によって遠隔地から任意の広告情報を取り込んで表示するタッチパネル型の広告ディスプレイや、人が近づいたときに所定の広告情報を表示する人体検知型の広告ディスプレイが提案されており、広告はこれらによってもなされる（例えば、特許文献１参照。）。

ところで、広告依頼者が広告提供者に広告を依頼する場合に、広告依頼者は、広告情報の対象者（以下、ターゲットという）が多数集まる場所をできるだけ予測して、所定額の広告料金で、広告提供者側が所有するまたは管理する特定の場所や広告ディスプレイに広告を掲示するように依頼する。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、従来の技術では、広告依頼者および広告提供者は、以下のような理由により広告の効果を把握することが困難であるという課題があった。すなわち、実際に掲示された広告の前にどれくらいの人がいて、どれくらいの人が広告に注目しているのかが不明である。また、タッチパネル型の広告ディスプレイにおいては、利用者はターゲットの中の一部にすぎない。また、人体検知型の広告ディスプレイにおいては、視聴者がターゲットから外れている場合がある。

また、従来の技術では、予測に基づく依頼は、予測が外れれば、ターゲットが少なくても広告情報を掲示してしまう場合があるという課題があった。

また、従来の技術では、広告提供者は、広告依頼者に広告効果を要求された場合に、予測値しか提示することができないという課題があった。

従来の技術では、このように、広告の効果がはっきりと分からないので、広告依頼者は、高い広告料金を支払って、多くの場所に広告情報を掲示するしかなかった。また、広告提供者は、広告を掲示する場所を他者よりも多くするなど、他者との差別化を図ることによってしか広告依頼者を満足させることができなかった。

この発明は、前述の課題を解決するために、広告依頼者に広告を掲示する場所（端末装置）の利用状況を知らせることができる広告情報提供システムを提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するために、この発明に係る広告情報提供システムは、広告を表示する広告ディスプレイが設置された広告表示用端末装置と、前記広告表示用端末装置の利用状況を管理するとともに、外部（広告依頼者側端末または広告提供者側端末）に前記広告表示用端末装置の利用状況を出力できることを特徴とするサーバと、を有することを特徴とする。

係る広告情報提供システムにおいて、サーバは、広告表示用端末装置の利用状況を管理しており、外部（広告依頼者側端末または広告提供者側端末）に広告表示用端末装置の利用状況を出力することができる。これによって、広告依頼者や広告提供者は、広告の効果を把握できるようになる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、図を参照してこの発明の実施の形態を説明する。なお、図は、この発明を理解できる程度に、構成要素の形状、大きさ及び配置関係を概略的に示してあるに過ぎない。また、各図において、共通する要素については、同一の符号を付し、説明を省略する。

＜システムの構成＞
以下、図１を用いてシステムの構成を説明する。図１は、広告情報提供システムの構成を示す図である。

図１に示すように、この発明に係る広告情報提供システム１は、例えば、複数の広告依頼者側端末３と、広告を制作し、配信し、利用状況を収集する広告提供者側端末５と、広告情報を表示する広告ディスプレイ１１が設置された端末装置３１と、広告情報サーバ７と、端末装置３１の管理を行う管理者側端末９とで構成される。広告情報提供システム１の各機器は、例えば、インターネットなどの通信ネットワーク１００や、図示しない通信網（無線を含む）によって接続される。

広告提供者側端末５は、広告提供者により利用されるパーソナルコンピュータなどの情報処理装置である。広告提供者側端末５は、例えば、広告依頼者側端末３との間で、広告の依頼手続や、広告料金の支払い手続、利用率の報告などを行うことができる。また、管理者側端末９との間で、管理費の支払い手続（すなわち、端末装置３１の管理の依頼手続）などができる。また、端末装置３１と広告情報サーバ７との間を介在して、端末装置３１から広告情報サーバ７に端末装置３１の利用データを出力したり、広告情報サーバ７から端末装置３１に画像（広告情報）を配信することができる。

広告情報サーバ７は、広告提供者（広告提供者から管理を委託された管理者を含む）により利用されるワークステーションなどの情報処理装置である。広告情報サーバ７は、広告データベース７−１と、広告選択手段７−２と、利用状況収集手段７−３と、通信手段７−４とを有している。

広告データベース７−１は、広告提供者が制作した広告を、コンピュータが再生可能な各種の形式（例えば、ＭＰＥＧ（ＭｏｖｉｎｇＰｉｃｔｕｒｅ（Ｃｏｄｉｎｇ）ＥｘｐｅｒｔｓＧｒｏｕｐ）やＡＶＩ（ＡｕｄｉｏＶｉｓｕａｌＩｎｔｅｒｌｅａｖｉｎｇ，マイクロソフト社）などの形式）で保存し管理する。広告提供者が制作した広告は、映像データであったり、プログラムデータであったりするので、ここでは、広告情報という。広告情報は、デジタル多用途ディスク（ＤＶＤ）７−５やビデオテープ７−６などの各種の記録媒体に一旦記録されて持ち運びされ、広告データベース７−１に保存される。

広告選択手段７−２は、広告ディスプレイ１１に関するデータ（例えば、各広告ディスプレイ１１の設置場所や、広告が可能か否かの空き情報など）を保存し管理する。広告選択手段７−２は、広告依頼者が広告を依頼する場合に、広告依頼者の希望に沿った後述の提案プランを作成する。

利用状況収集手段７−３は、広告ディスプレイ１１が設置された端末装置３１の利用状況データを収集し管理する。端末装置３１の利用状況データは、例えば、端末装置３１の利用率や、利用の多い時間帯、少ない時間帯、１回あたりの利用額、利用額の合計、利用者の性別、利用者の年齢層などである。

管理者側端末９は、広告提供者側端末５からの依頼に基づいて、広告ディスプレイ１１の設置および保守を行う。

広告ディスプレイ１１は、端末装置３１に設置された情報処理装置である。通信ネットワーク１００を介して広告情報サーバ７と接続され、通信ネットワーク１００を介して配信される画像（広告情報）や、無線や赤外線などの外部入力手段１３を介して配信される画像（広告情報）を表示する。

端末装置３１は、店舗３２や地域３３内にいる不特定多数の人（以下、視聴者という）２１によって利用される。端末装置３１は、例えば、街頭などに設置された自動販売機や金融機関に設置された自動取引装置（ＡｕｔｏＴｅｌｌｅｒＭａｃｈｉｎｅ；以下、ＡＴＭという）、コンビニエンスストアなどに設置された発券装置などの形態がある。

（システムを機能させるための前提）
この発明に係る広告情報提供システム１は、広告依頼者，広告提供者，端末装置の管理者が、以下のように行動することによって機能する。

広告依頼者は、視聴者２１への広告活動を行うために、広告提供者に対して広告を依頼する。そして、制作費を含めた広告料金を広告提供者に支払う。

広告提供者は、広告依頼者から依頼された広告を制作し、そのデータを広告情報サーバ７の広告データベース７−１に保存する。また、広告情報サーバ７の管理運営を行い、広告依頼者から広告料金を徴収する。また、広告を掲示する端末装置３１の利用状況（例えば、端末装置３１の利用者の人数や、性別、年齢層などのデータ）を広告依頼者に報告し、広告の効果を通知する。また、端末の管理者に対しては、管理する端末装置３１への広告ディスプレイ１１の設置を斡旋し、設置後は、管理者に管理費を支払う。

＜広告ディスプレイの構成＞
以下に、図２を用いて、広告ディスプレイ１１の構成を説明する。なお、図２に示される例では、広告ディスプレイ１１は、端末装置３１に設けられているが、端末装置３１から離れて、利用者が多数訪れる場所や空間（例えば端末装置３１付近の壁面など）に設けられるように構成することも可能である。

図２に示されるように、広告ディスプレイ１１は、例えば、自動販売機の形態となっている端末装置３１Ａの、視聴者２１の目に触れ易い場所に設置されている。

広告ディスプレイ１１は、表示手段１１−１と、情報処理手段１１−２と、通信手段１１−３と、音声伝達手段１１−４と、カメラ（ビデオカメラを含む）１１−５などを備える。

表示手段１１−１は、例えば、液晶パネルやプラズマディスプレイ、ＬＥＤ、有機ＥＬデバイス、その他の表示機能を有する装置であり、文字、または動画を含む映像を広告として表示する。広告ディスプレイ１１は、通信ネットワーク１００を介して画像（広告情報）が配信されるが、前述の無線や赤外線などの外部入力手段１３を介して画像が配信される場合もあり、この画像を表示手段１１−１に表示する。

情報処理手段１１−２は、広告情報サーバ７から配信された１または複数の広告情報を保存し、広告情報サーバ７によって定められたスケジュール（すなわち、広告依頼者と広告提供者との間で交わされた契約内容）に沿って、所定の広告情報を表示する。

通信手段１１−３は、端末装置３１や通信ネットワーク１００，外部入力手段１３と通信を行って、端末装置３１から端末装置３１の利用状況を取得したり、外部入力手段１３より端末装置３１の利用状況を取得したり、端末装置３１の利用状況を広告情報サーバ７に出力したり、広告情報サーバ７から広告情報を取得する。

＜システムの動作＞
以下に、図３〜図８を用いてシステムの動作を説明する。図３はシステムの動作を示すフローチャートで、図４は利用状況の一例を示す図で、図５〜図８は画面の一例を示す図である。

まず、広告情報サーバ７は、以下のようにして端末装置３１のデータを収集する（ステップ（以下、Ｓという）１１）。

すなわち、まず、端末装置３１は、自身の利用状況を収集し蓄積する。利用状況は、ある一定期間における端末装置３１の利用者の人数、性別、年齢層、利用回数、時間帯による利用の変化、販売数（例えば、端末装置３１が自動販売機や発券装置などの形態であれば商品や券の販売数、ＡＴＭなどの形態であれば取引回数など）、その他である。端末装置３１は、利用状況を一定期間蓄積すると、広告情報サーバ７に出力する。

広告情報サーバ７は、このようにして各端末装置３１から端末装置３１の利用状況を取得し、それを利用状況収集手段７−３に蓄積する。

Ｓ１１の後、広告情報サーバ７は、以下のようにして端末装置３１の利用状況を分析する（Ｓ１３）。

すなわち、まず、広告情報サーバ７は、各端末装置３１、各店舗３２、各地域３３などの単位で、ある一定期間やある時間帯などにおける、各端末装置３１の利用状況を分析する。そしてその分析結果から、全端末装置３１の順位付けをする。各端末装置３１は、この順位に応じて広告提供者により広告料金が設定される。広告情報サーバ７は、各端末装置３１と広告料金とを対応付けた利用状況データを広告選択手段７−２に蓄積する。図４に、利用状況データの一例を示す。図４に示される例では、各端末装置３１は、利用率順に配列され、装置種類、場所、表示面積、表示方法、…、価格（ここでは時間あたりの単価）などが対応付けられている。

Ｓ１３の後、広告依頼者が広告の掲示を依頼する場合に、広告依頼者側端末３から以下のようにして条件が入力される（Ｓ１５）。

例えば、まず、広告依頼者は、広告依頼者側端末３を操作して、広告情報サーバ７に登録されている広告提供者側のホームページ（以下、ＨＰという）にアクセスして、図５に示される画面５０１−１を表示する。画面５０１−１は、広告依頼者が望む広告条件を入力するための画面である。画面５０１−１には、希望料金を入力する欄５０１−１１，表示期間を入力する欄５０１−１２，表示場所を入力する欄５０１−１３，ターゲットである広告対象者の性別を入力する欄５０１−１４，広告対象者の年齢層を入力する欄５０１−１５，広告対象者の地域を入力する欄５０１−１６，時間帯を入力する欄５０１−１７，特記事項を入力する欄５０１−１８，ＨＰ画面に戻るためのキー５０１−２１，一つ手前の画面に戻るためのキー５０１−２２，次に進むためのキー５０１−２９，カーソルの位置を示す矢印５０２などが表示されている。画面５０１−１には、固有の画面ログ５０３−１が設定されており、所定の項目の内容が他の画面（例えば、図６，図８に示される画面５０１−２，５０１−４）の所定の項目の内容に連動するようになっている。なお、欄５０１−１１，５０１−１２，５０１−１３，５０１−１４，５０１−１５，５０１−１６は、三角形の領域を押下することにより、任意の数値や文字が選択できるウィンドウが展開するようになっており、広告依頼者は展開されたウィンドウの中から所望の数値や文字を選択する。また、時間帯を入力する欄５０１−１７には「指定あり」または「指定なし」のいずれかを選択する領域が付されており、広告依頼者は「指定あり」を選択する場合には図示しないキーボードにより所望の時間を入力することになる。また、特記事項を入力する欄５０１−１８には、特記事項を入力するための領域が付されており、広告依頼者は図示しないキーボードにより特記事項を入力することになる。

Ｓ１５の後、広告情報サーバ７は、以下のようにして広告のプランを作成して広告依頼者側端末３に出力する。これを受けて広告依頼者側端末３は、プランを表示する（Ｓ１７）。なお、プランは、例えば、端末装置３１（自動販売機やＡＴＭなど）や、店舗３２（駅に近いコンビニエンスストアやデパート、銀行、ホテル、駅のプラットフォーム、バス停留所などの固定されたスペースや、電車やバスなどのような移動体の中のスペースなど）、地域３３（○○市や△△駅近辺など）、利用状況データなどの情報を含むのが好ましい。

広告情報サーバ７の広告選択手段７−２は、予め設定されたプログラムにより、Ｓ１５で入力された広告条件とＳ１３で広告選択手段７−２に蓄積された各端末装置３１の利用状況データとに基づいて広告のプランを作成して、図６〜図８に示される画面５０１−２，５０１−３，５０１−４を作成する。

画面５０１−２は広告を掲示する場所（端末装置３１）の一覧を示す画面で、画面５０１−３は広告を掲示する場所の地図と端末装置３１の写真を示す画面で、画面５０１−４は広告のプランの契約事項を示す画面である。

図６に示される画面５０１−２には、広告を掲示する場所（端末装置３１）の一覧５０１−３１，ＨＰ画面に戻るためのキー５０１−４１，一つ手前の画面に戻るためのキー５０１−４２，次に進むためのキー５０１−４９，カーソルの位置を示す矢印５０２などが表示されている。画面５０１−２には、画面５０１−１と同様に、固有の画面ログ５０３−２が設定されており、所定の項目の内容が他の画面（例えば、図５，図８に示される画面５０１−１，５０１−４）の所定の項目の内容に連動するようになっている。図６に示される例では、一覧５０１−３１には、チェックを入れるための領域と、端末装置３１の装置番号が表示される領域と、端末装置３１の設置場所（住所）が表示される領域とが設けられている。チェックを入れるための領域は、広告依頼者に、その欄の端末装置３１を広告を掲示する場所とするか否かを選択させるための領域である。チェックを入れるための領域は、広告を掲示する場所とする場合にレ点が入り、外す場合に空欄になる。端末装置３１の装置番号が表示される領域と端末装置３１の設置場所が表示される領域は、図７に示される画像５０１−３を表示させるための領域である。広告情報サーバ７は、広告依頼者が、端末装置３１の装置番号が表示される領域または端末装置３１の設置場所が表示される領域を２回押下した場合に、図７に示される画像５０１−３を広告依頼者側端末３に出力して表示させる。

図７に示される画面５０１−３には、端末装置３１の装置番号と端末装置３１の設置場所（住所）を示す欄５０１−５１，広告を掲示する場所の地図５０１−５２，端末装置３１の写真５０１−５３，ＨＰ画面に戻るためのキー５０１−６１，一つ手前の画面に戻るためのキー５０１−６２，条件入力画面（すなわち、画面５０１−１）に戻るためのキー５０１−６３，次に進むためのキー５０１−６９，カーソルの位置を示す矢印５０２などが表示されている。画面５０１−３には、他の画面５０１−１，５０１−２と同様に、固有の画面ログ５０３−３が設定されている。

広告情報サーバ７は、広告依頼者が、画面５０１−２や画面５０１−３で、キー５０１−４９やキー５０１−６９を押下した場合に、画像５０１−４を広告依頼者側端末３に出力して表示させる。

図８に示される画面５０１−４には、端末装置３１の装置番号を示す欄５０１−７１，利用時間を示す欄５０１−７２，利用料金を示す欄５０１−７３，広告効果を示す欄５０１−７４，ＨＰ画面に戻るためのキー５０１−８１，一つ手前の画面に戻るためのキー５０１−８２，条件入力画面（すなわち、画面５０１−１）に戻るためのキー５０１−８３，契約を交わすためのキー５０１−８９，カーソルの位置を示す矢印５０２などが表示されている。画面５０１−４には、他の画面５０１−１〜５０１−３と同様に、固有の画面ログ５０３−４が設定されており、所定の項目の内容が他の画面（例えば、図５，図６に示される画面５０１−１，５０１−２）の所定の項目の内容に連動するようになっている。

広告依頼者は、図６〜図８に示される画面５０１−２〜５０１−４の内容を確認する。そして、図５に示される画面５０１−１や図６に示される画面５−２を修正して、適宜プランを修正する。そして、契約を交わすか否かを判断し、契約を交わす場合には、図８に示される画面５０１−４で、キー５０１−８９を押下する。

Ｓ１７の後、広告依頼者が契約を交わすものとする。このとき、広告依頼者は、前述のように、図８に示される画面５０１−４で、キー５０１−８９を押下する。すると、広告依頼者側端末３は、契約を了承する信号を広告情報サーバ７に出力する。これを受けて、広告情報サーバ７は、広告提供者側端末５を呼び出して広告依頼者側端末３と接続し、広告提供者側端末５を操作する広告提供者に広告依頼者側端末３を操作する広告依頼者との契約の受付を行わせる（Ｓ１９）。

広告依頼者が広告提供者との間で契約を交わした場合に、契約内容のデータが広告情報サーバ７に登録される。これにより、広告情報サーバ７は、広告提供者が制作した広告情報をＤＶＤ７−５やビデオテープ６などの記録媒体から取り込み、それを契約によって指定された端末装置３１の広告ディスプレイ１１に配信する。広告ディスプレイ１１は広告情報を蓄積しておき、契約によって指定された日時に表示手段１１−１や音声伝達手段１１−４によって広告情報を掲示する。

この後、端末装置３１は、利用状況を継続して記録し、所定の時期に広告情報サーバ７に出力する。

広告情報サーバ７は、各端末装置３１の利用状況を利用状況収集手段７−３に蓄積し、所定の時期に広告依頼者側端末３または広告提供者側端末５に広告の効果を示すデータ（以下、広告効果データという）を出力する。広告効果データは、例えば、広告場所のデータや、利用状況収集手段７−３によって収集した視聴者２１の利用回数（すなわち、広告提供回数）などにより構成される。これにより、広告依頼者や広告提供者は、広告の効果を把握することができる。また、広告提供者は、利用率の悪い端末装置３１を把握することができるので、利用率の悪い端末装置３１に対して通常よりも低い料金を設定することもできるようになる。この場合、少額な広告料金しか支払えない広告依頼者に対しても、広告のプランを提供することができるので、このような広告依頼者を新たな顧客として取り込むことが期待できる。

なお、広告情報サーバ７は、広告効果データを、広告依頼者側端末３に出力せずに、広告提供者側端末５にのみ出力するようにしてもよい。この場合、広告提供者が、広告の効果を確認してから、広告依頼者に広告の効果を報告できるようになる。

＜時間帯による提供広告情報の差別化＞
広告情報提供システム１は、図９のように、時間帯によって提供する広告情報を変更することが可能である。図９は、提供内容の一例を示す図である。

例えば、ある端末装置３１の利用率が、一日のうちで、図９に示されるように変化するものとする。そこで、広告提供者は、次のようなサービスを行うことが可能である。

例えば、高額な広告料金を出せる広告依頼者の広告情報は、利用率の高い時間帯に提供し、利用率の低い時間帯には提供しないようにする。また、少額な広告料金しか出せない広告依頼者の広告情報は、利用率の低い時間帯に提供し、利用率の高い時間帯には提供しないようにする。

または、利用率の高い時間帯には動画像による広告情報や、動画像と音声との組み合わせによる広告情報を提供し、利用率の低い時間帯には静止画像による広告情報しか提供しないようにする。

広告提供者は、広告情報が以上のように掲示されるように、広告情報サーバ７の広告選択手段７−２を設定する。これにより、広告提供者は、提供する広告情報の差別化を図ることができ、高額な広告料金を支払う広告依頼者に対してはより宣伝効果の高いサービスを提供し、少額な広告料金しか支払えない広告依頼者に対しても少額なサービスを提供することができるようになる。

以上説明したように、この発明に係る広告情報提供システム１は、実際の広告利用状況に基づくプランを広告依頼者に提供することが可能となる。また、広告提供者は、実際の広告の前にどのくらいの人がいるのかという情報を把握することができるようになる。また、広告依頼者は、広告を出す場所や広告ディスプレイ１１を選択する場合に、利用者の多い場所の広告ディスプレイ１１を選択することが可能になる。また、広告提供者は、広告依頼者に、広告効果を報告することが可能となり、広告の差別化を図ることができる。また、広告依頼者は、広告効果がはっきり分からないにも関わらず、高い広告料金を支払って多くの場所に広告情報を掲示するなどの無駄をなくすことができ、少額で広告効果の高い広告情報を掲示することができる。
