Abstract

The invention relates to a knitted copper wire product exhibiting conductive and anti-microbial properties, for use in sport garments. It is manufactured by a copper wire consisting of 10 to 24 (strands) copper microwires (Cusn) of 0.04 to 0.07mm in diameter and it is processed by a system consisting of controlled winding mechanisms and an appropriately converted knitting machine through which the copper cable takes its knitted form; then, the resulted knitted copper cable is either coated with an adhesive conductive surface, or insulated with a layer of PVC membrane or with a similar product and secured with two layers of cotton or other suitable fabric in order to obtain high water absorbency. In the sequel, the thus-resulted knitted copper cable can be used in various sizes to cover the desired muscle groups after being adapted to the inside of clothes and muscle electrostimulation (EMS) suits. ?
