[Also in Division E2] A vehicle "swingback" " rear-view mirror comprises a mirror arm 11, Fig. 4, having a spindle 13 journalled in a generally cylindrical pressed sheet metal sleeve 40 inserted into a base part 42 secured to the vehicle body 18, a radial peg 45 on the spindle 13 being urged by a spring 46 into engagement with the profiled edge of the end of the sleeve. As shown in Fig. 5, the end edge has a plurality of seats 44. In another embodiment the sleeve is provided with a helical slot between its ends, to receive the peg, as described with reference to Figs. 1 to 3 (not shown).
