958,157. Ground anchors; wire fencing. C. GOODALL, and M. GOODALL. March 8, 1963 [March 22, 1962], No. 10987/62. Heading E1B. An anchor device for securing a wire to the ground, or as shown, for securing the end post of a wire fence, comprises a central pointed stake 10 and four outer spikes 14 pivotally connected to the stake by stays 12. The spikes 14 have spigots 16 and are fitted in eyes 13 in the ends of the stays. The stake 10 may be of angle or T-section and the stays of angle or tubular section. In a fencing construction a coil spring 19 may be provided between the end post 20 and a connecting link or turnbuckle 18, or alternatively the wires 21 are resiliently connected to the end post, either individually or else collectively, by springs.
