Abstract

951,191. Coating surfaces. ENTONES Ltd. Feb. 21, 1961 [Feb. 22, 1960], No. 6190/60. Heading B2B. [Also in Division B8] A cast iron mercury flask is lined internally with a continuous coating 11 which may be of polyethylene or polytetrafluoroethylene, said lining being applied to a 7 lb. flask for example, by feeding three ounces of plastics powder into the flask which is pre-heated to 170 ‹C. The flask is then reheated until the powder glazes to the walls ; the process is repeated using two ounces of powder. Finger pressure is used to spread the powder inside the neck prior to the final glazing (see also Division B8).
