941,284. Radio-frequency filters. G.S.V. (MARINE & COMMERCIAL) Ltd. Nov. 2, 1959 [Aug. 1, 1958], No. 24948/58. Heading H1W. A radio-frequency filter of the double stub resonator type comprising a section 10 of transmission line, which can be a coaxial line or waveguide, loaded at its outer ends with variable capacitors C1 and C2 and provided with an input coaxial feed 11 and an output coaxial feed 12 at a position intermediate the two ends, has one part of the transmission line further loaded by a variable capacitor C3 which can be connected between the inner and outer conductors of the coaxial line. The distances l 1 , l 2 and l 3 are each made less than a quarter of a wavelength at the lower rejection frequency, the upper rejection frequency and the pass frequency, respectively. The dimensions are such that (l 1 + l 3 ) is appreciably smaller than l 2 + ¢ # 1 ), where # 1 is the wavelength corresponding to the lower rejection frequency.
