Abstract
940,211. Haymaking machines. PATENT CONCERN N.V. Feb. 11, 1960 [March 7, 1959], No. 4866/60. Heading A1F. An implement comprises a frame 1 supported on ground-wheels 18, 19 and carrying tools 3, 6, 7, 13, 14, the frame being connected to a bar 12 about a hinge 11 which is inclined to the vertical, the other end of the bar being maintained at a constant height above the ground so that by turning the bar about the hinge-axis the frame and the tools are caused to rise. In the form shown the tools are rakewheels carried on stub-shafts, two of which 8, 9, are extended forwardly to receive beams 10A 10B which are joined together and to the bar 12 by the hinge 11. The forward end of the bar 12 is adjustably bolted to a yoke 15 secured to a tractor draw-plate 16. The beams 10A, 10B and bar 12 are secured in fixed relationships by a stay 20 engaging selectively in holes 22 in a strip 24. The ground-wheels 18, 19 are vertically adjustable swivel-wheels, one of which 19, can be locked for direction control. In a modification (not shown) the beam 12 terminates in a further ground-wheel, the machine being drawn by other means.
