Abstract

931,498. Hose couplings. CONFLOW Ltd. April 12, 1962 [Sept. 2, 1961], No. 31620/61. Class 99(1). A hose coupling comprises two tubular members 1, 2, Fig. 1, with the member 1 fitting into an enlarged bore 6 of the member 2 which has a sleeve 9 provided with an inwardly directed flange 10 forming a guide for the member 1, radial lugs 21 on the member 1 being adapted to pass through slots 18, Fig. 6, in the flange 10 and on rotation of the member 1 to engage notches 19 formed on the inner face of the flange 10. A flanged ring 13 and spring 15 retain the lugs 21 in the notches 19 and an 0-ring 24 located in a circumferential groove 23 of the bore 6 effects sealing between the members 1, 2.
