Abstract

930,140. Endless belt conveyers. GOODMAN MANUFACTURING CO. July 15, 1959, No. 24398/59. Class 78 (1). The conveying run 17 of an endless belt conveyer is supported on flexible troughing roller assemblies 25 supported from a single cable 16 by means of hangers 20. The troughing roller assemblies 25 each comprise rollers 24, 26 mounted on axles 27 which are pivoted together by means of links 28 and which are pivoted to resilient hanger arms 19, 21 secured to the cable 16 by a pin 23. The return run 18 of the belt is supported by idler rollers 44, Fig. 5, mounted on rigid hangers 35 which are suspended from the cable 16 and braced by members 46, 47, secured at one end to the hanger and at the other end to clamps 36, 38 engaging the cable 16. In a second embodiment, Fig. 6 (not shown), additional cables 51, 52, passing between support towers, are secured to the cable 16 at the suspension points of the hangers for the return run rollers.
