915,826. Re-vaporization of liquefied gas. EVANS, A. J. April 7, 1961 [April 20, 1960], No. 13765/60. Class 8(2). A liquid carbon dioxide evaporator comprises a three-part block of aluminium, the portions 10, 11, 12 of which are cast round a highpressure feed duct 16, a thermostatically controlled electric heating element 41, Fig. 3 (not shown), having projecting ends 15, and a reduced-pressure gaseous carbon-dioxide duct 21 respectively and afterwards bolted together; the duct 21 having a union on its outlet 22 for connection to a place of use. The ducts 16, 21 are of serpentine form and the vapour outlet 18 of duct 16 is connected to duct 21 through a chamber provided with a pressure relief valve 42 and bursting disc 20 and through a reducing valve 23. The feed duct inlet 17 is connected to a bank of liquid carbon dioxide cylinders 45, Fig. 4 (not shown), and the block 10, 11, 12 is housed in a fibre glass filled casing.
